Two hours passed. Bored, Chen Yao sat on the sofa, quietly watching the closed door. Though she didn't know what was happening, she could guess it was likely something urgent.
Although Chen Yao had wanted Zhou Fan to take her shopping earlier, it was only because she was bored. Now that he had something important to do, she naturally wouldn't disturb him. That was the mark of a smart woman.
She wasn't sure how much time had passed, but she had dozed off on the sofa. She felt someone pick her up and groggily opened her eyes to find it was Zhou Fan. She immediately wrapped her arms around him and said in a lazy voice, "Darling, are you all done?"
"Mhm, all done. Do you want to go out to eat, or should we rest for a bit first?" Zhou Fan nodded gently, his affection for the sensible girl in his arms growing stronger.
"Let's eat, I'm starving! Wait for me, I want to take my makeup off!" Chen Yao gave Zhou Fan a quick kiss and scampered into the bathroom.
