On it was another string of familiar-looking scrawls, like a doctor's prescription.
Lloyd pulled out the notebook his butler had given him and deciphered the letter's contents, character by character:
"Do not go home for the next few days. A troublesome person might be targeting you.
Miss Evelor will be staying with Miss Desda for the time being. Ms. Landis is protecting them, so you don't need to worry.
Inform Lord Tirtus of this matter as soon as possible and seek his aid.
There is no need to worry too much; the situation is not dire. But do not use Divination for the next few days. Do not use any form of Divination.

The moment Lloyd saw the string of 'encrypted' symbols on the envelope, he knew it was from his butler.
