Seraphina felt wronged and furious with Damian Fairchild.
She turned her head, pointedly ignoring him.
Just then, Lionel Langley grabbed Claire Sterling's wrist. "Are you going to leave or not? Do you get some kind of kick out of watching a couple fight?"

After they left, the hospital room fell silent, leaving only the sound of Damian Fairchild's and Seraphina Quinn's breathing.
Damian Fairchild stood before the bed, looking at Seraphina, who still had her back to him. "Seraphina…"
Seraphina closed her eyes, tears soaking her pillow.
But her voice was calm, chillingly so:
"You should go ahead and prepare the divorce papers. If that's too much trouble, I can just leave with nothing."
