Seraphina Quinn thought for a moment, nodded, and gave a soft hum of agreement.
Damian Fairchild spoke again. "Regarding Jared Quinn's situation, I'll go talk to him..."
Before he could finish, Seraphina Quinn interrupted him. "Although part of the reason I'm staying is because of my brother, the other part is that I'm staying of my own free will."
Damian Fairchild stared at her for a long time with his almond-shaped eyes before speaking again. "Do you remember what I told you before?"
The rims of Seraphina Quinn's eyes were a little red, and her voice sounded as if it were stuck in her throat. After a long moment, she asked softly, "What did you say?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, Damian Fairchild reached out and seized her chin.
