Seraphina Quinn was at a loss for words.
Her gaze drifted out the car window. After a long moment, she said, "I don't know."
Damian Fairchild frowned. "What do you mean, you don't know?"
Seraphina Quinn pulled her gaze back from the window, her eyes landing on Damian Fairchild's face again.
"I mean, if you really like her, I don't know if I should stop you or... let you be happy with her."
Damian Fairchild's expression remained impassive, but his eyes darkened a few shades.
His voice turned a little colder. "Is that so?"
Seraphina Quinn met his deep, dark gaze. "What do you want me to do?"
Damian Fairchild looked away from her face and out the window.
His voice was detached, devoid of emotion. "I only paid her a little more attention because she reminds me of how you used to be."
It was something of an explanation.
Seraphina Quinn had actually guessed as much.
"However, Seraphina Quinn, if you really feel you can't go on with me, she could be a very good partner."
