"A dragon?!" Old Bloom was so shocked his jaw almost dropped.
The others' expressions turned grave as they quickly drew their bows and readied their Magic Staves, preparing for a fight.
Ithilien raised her Magic Staff and called out sharply, "Mr. Arthur, you never said a dragon would be welcoming us."
Arthur stared blankly at the black dot in the sky, his soulfire flickering with hesitation. "That... seems to be His Majesty."
Just then, the sharp-eyed Elf Ranger let out a soft sound of surprise.
"That's not right. The dragon isn't far away. It's just rather small, which is why it looks like it's flying from a distance."
"So, it's just a young dragon?" Ithilien asked.
"It seems even smaller than a young dragon, and on its back is... a glob of Slime?"
While everyone was still on high alert, the young dragon suddenly dove, its limbs flailing as it attempted to land. After skidding for some distance, it came to a stop right in front of them.
