Yano carefully cradled the Slime in his hands, completely bewildered by the little girl's words.
"What do you mean? We Belmonts are pure-blooded nobles of the White Horse Kingdom."
"It seems those old geezers never told you."
The little girl pouted, put her hands on her hips, and said, "Nili Belmont. That's my name. In terms of seniority, I'm very likely one of your ancestors."
"But that's not important. What's important is that Gor is very dangerous. You should all come back with me first. This is no place to chat."
Nili beckoned to the group, then, with an air of aged authority, she clasped her hands behind her back and walked deeper into the ruins.
After the group followed, Ira fell back a few paces, looked at the withered Slime in Yano's hands, and asked guiltily, "Is the little guy okay?"
"He's fine. The boss just needs to eat to recover." Yano appeared calm on the surface; he knew this was just a clone.
