Yano looked in the direction he was pointing and saw the vast remains of an ancient building complex hidden within the forest. A huge archway leaned precariously, and only the bases of shattered statues remained. An unsettling, deathly silence hung over everything.
Above them, huge, crisscrossing, broken stone beams and trees blotted out the sky, plunging the area into darkness and making it impossible to see clearly.
Though they didn't understand why Ryo said it was safe, they had no other choice. Everyone plunged headfirst into the shadow-shrouded ruins.
