Sarah Lee looked anguished.
Willow West knew she was dissociating.
She continued, "Is it because of Zoe?"
At the mention of Zoe, the facade Sarah Lee had been struggling to maintain finally crumbled.
"No!
No!
It's not that at all!
Zoe is my nephew. I was just passing by..."
"Zoe is your son!"
Sarah Lee's expression cracked, and her voice grew agitated. "Young President West, did you come to the hospital just to tell me this?
Zoe told me what happened earlier. So you did it on purpose?
What are you trying to do?
Don't you dare think about hurting my child!"
"I'm not that despicable!
Despicable enough to harm a child!
When I, Willow West, do something, I always do it openly and honorably!
I came to the hospital today specifically to find you!
Running into Zoe was just a coincidence!
And helping him wasn't some deliberate act!
But, Cindy, you've raised him very well. He has a pure character and a kind heart!"
