Aiden Pierce took Willow West to the vaccination clinic.
After hearing what happened, the doctor led Willow West into the treatment room and turned on the wound irrigator.
Willow West watched the forceful stream of water continuously rinse the scratches on her hand, her brow furrowing in a purely physical reaction.
Seeing her frown, Aiden Pierce covered her eyes with his hand and coaxed her softly, "Just bear with it. It'll be over soon!"
Willow West's eyelashes fluttered like a butterfly's wings.
She couldn't feel the pain—
yet Aiden Pierce's concern stirred a strange ache in her heart.
She lowered her gaze, saying nothing, but her eyelashes trembled violently against his hand, a sensation Aiden Pierce felt clearly.
He instinctively softened his next words of comfort even further.
"Just hang in there. It'll be over soon."
"Mm."
Once the wound was clean, the doctor prepared a syringe to give Willow West the vaccine.
