Most of Sylvia's body was pinned down by Jude Langley.
The spring of the mattress pressed them even closer together.
Sylvia said, "I'm not leaving. You get up first."
Jude Langley buried his head in the crook of her neck. "Can't get up."
Sylvia was having a little trouble breathing under his weight.
A drunk Jude Langley was clearly harder to handle than a sober one.
Sylvia patted his shoulder. "Stop messing around. Lie down properly, and I'll go get you some sobering-up tea."
Jude Langley seized the opportunity to grab Sylvia's wrist, guiding it around the back of his own neck. "Don't want any. Let's just hug for a bit."
Sylvia laughed silently and obliged, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and neck.
Sensing Sylvia's response, Jude Langley pushed his luck. "Tighter."
Sylvia patted his back helplessly. "Why are you being so needy?"
Jude Langley's thin lips brushed against the side of her face. "Do you hate it?"
"If I hated it, I wouldn't be letting you hold me."
