Sylvia Sterling's heart seemed to flutter.
Jude Langley's direct gaze fell upon her face.
In the moment their eyes met,
something sparked into existence.
Jude Langley stubbed out his cigarette. As he turned, he said to Sylvia Sterling, "Open the door."
The man's figure disappeared from the balcony.
But Sylvia Sterling remained seated, unmoving.
About four or five minutes passed.
She got up, returned to the guest room, opened the door, and looked up.
In the hallway outside, Jude Langley's tall, straight figure stood in place.
Seeing Sylvia Sterling, his lips curled into a faint smile. "You made up your mind quickly."
Sylvia Sterling stepped aside to let him pass. "Come in and talk."
Jude Langley gave her a deep look before strolling over to the long sofa in the corner and sitting down.
Sylvia Sterling closed the door, then sat on the other side of the long sofa.
A distance of half a meter separated them.
Neither spoke first.
「A moment later.」
