Stella and the man parted ways downstairs.
When she got to the office, the property manager was at the front desk, registering some document.
「Before the morning meeting.」
After Phoebe Pierce finished discussing business with Stella, she changed the subject. "I just heard from the administration manager that this office building might be changing owners."
"Huh?" Stella was floored. "No way."
The building had been in the Sterling Family's name for many years.
It was a very stable fixed asset; she hadn't heard Mr. Sterling say he was planning to sell.
Phoebe Pierce shrugged. "Who knows. Maybe the admin manager was just repeating a rumor. As long as our rent doesn't change, it doesn't matter to us who the owner is."
Stella nodded in agreement.
'Still,' she thought, 'I should ask Dad about it when I get home tonight.'
'I just hope the family isn't having some kind of financial crisis that requires selling off property.'
