He hung up the phone.
Roman Rhodes stood in place for a moment.
A subtle ripple appeared in his eyes as a thought crossed his mind.
A moment later,
The man entered the dining room.
The faint scent of green tea filled the air.
Stella Sterling was leaning back in her chair, head resting against the backrest and tilted up toward the ceiling. Something seemed to be stuck over her eyes.
The man strode closer and leaned down to get a better look.
Only then did he notice the two steeped tea leaves placed on her closed eyelids.
"What are you doing?"
Stella turned her head away and said in a hoarse voice, "Saving my sad frog eyes."
Not only were her eyes swollen, but she had also screamed her throat raw.
'Could anyone be more miserable than me?!'
Roman Rhodes cupped the back of her head. "What's wrong with your eyes?"
"What do you think!" Stella took a breath, plucked the tea leaves from her eyelids, and turned to face him. "Do you think I can go out looking like this?"
