Ian Jarvis timidly poked his head in. "Mr. Rhodes, sorry, I'm a little late."
The man nodded slowly. "It's fine. Come in and sit down."
Ian Jarvis tiptoed into the room.
He breathed an unconscious sigh of relief when he saw Stella Sterling was there.
A moment of silence.
Roman Rhodes took a sip of tea and called out in a deep voice, "Mr. Jarvis."
Ian Jarvis sat up straight, his posture very humble. "Mr. Rhodes, you can just call me Ian Jarvis."
"Mm," the man acknowledged faintly, his tone unhurried. "The matter of the betting. Tell me the details."
Ian Jarvis nodded hastily. "Here's what happened..."
His lengthy explanation took a full four or five minutes.
Still indignant at heart, Ian Jarvis mixed a lot of personal emotion into his explanation, working himself up.
Roman Rhodes looked up, meeting Ian Jarvis's eyes. "The website you bet on, did Aaron Albright send it to you?"
Ian Jarvis: "Yes, and the sites were all official."
