Stella exchanged a few jokes with Sylvia Sterling before asking, "Sis, if you give me all this money, will you still have enough for yourself?"
"It's enough. I'm not short on cash." Sylvia offered a rare explanation. "The eight million I gave you is what was left after I sold my company. Use it however you want. If you lose it all, it's on me."
Stella was stunned. She never imagined her sister had so much money left over from selling her company.
She vaguely recalled that the company, founded less than two years prior, had already surpassed a valuation of twenty million.
