Stella's calm, listless expression instantly brightened.
"Mr. Rhodes is here too?"
Brandon Coleman smiled. "Yes, he just got back from Coronet City. Miss Sterling, you're here to..."
Just as Stella was about to answer, the phone in her pocket rang.
The caller ID: Mr. Rhodes.
Stella suppressed a smile, cleared her throat, and stepped aside to take the call.
On the other end of the line, a man's deep, magnetic voice came through the receiver with perfect clarity.
"Instead of taking your lunch break at the company, what are you doing running over to Sino-Capital?"
"I'm here to take care of something." It suddenly dawned on Stella. "Mr. Rhodes, did you see me?"
Roman Rhodes didn't answer directly. Instead, he asked with concern, "Did everything go smoothly?"
Stella scuffed the toe of her shoe against the marble floor, her eyes darting around. "Very smoothly... Um..."
The perceptive man naturally didn't miss Stella's hesitation.
