Weren't you trying to make him think you were just bluffing and didn't have the financial strength to buy his assets? You lured him into letting his guard down and falling for your trap, so he'd just fill in the sale price on the contract and sign it, right?"
"It seems Philip Hale is quite the actor, to have even fooled Officer Gable. What you saw was just a facade. With Philip Hale's influence, do you really think he wouldn't know the Emperor Green from the auction sold for a fortune? Do you think he could be unaware that I have sufficient funds?" A smile returned to Seraphina Sterling's face.
