Rose Wentworth's knees went weak with fear. She instinctively took a few steps back, but her cousin's voice followed her out.
"Where do you think you're running?"
"Get your ass in here, now!"
Liam Wentworth's sudden, harsh tone drained the last bit of color from Rose Wentworth's face. She walked in with trembling hands and feet. Joyce Monroe followed behind her and quietly closed the door.
Rose Wentworth hadn't expected so many people to be in the room.
"I... I..." she stammered, her voice trembling and her mind a chaotic mess.
"You run the moment you see me? Are your eyes just for decoration, or are you blind? Don't you know how to greet people?" Liam Wentworth was genuinely furious.
And to top it all off, he was sick.
Some woman had popped out of nowhere, trying to climb into his bed!
It had scared the hell out of him.
But as it turned out...
The person behind it was his own cousin!
