Silas Thorne was stunned for a few seconds when he saw the room full of things. His eyes finally landed on a God Jade Necklace sitting on the long coffee table. If he remembered correctly, this seemed to be the birthday gift Kian Jacobs had chosen for Mrs. Monroe.

'Go to the Monroe family estate and clean out the old lady's entire fortune?'
"Brother-in-law!" When Leo Monroe saw Silas Thorne, he was more excited than if he'd seen his own parents. "You're finally back! Do you have any idea how much I missed you in the 157 hours you were gone?"
"I don't," Silas Thorne said bluntly.
Leo Monroe froze for a second. "You didn't think about me at all? Not for even a minute, or a second?"
"No."
At his words, Leo Monroe's expression immediately wilted. But then he quickly added, "It must be because you were too busy!"
