Zoe Rhodes felt a bit dazed as Donovan led her out of the lingerie store by the hand.
She had no idea where Donovan had suddenly come from.
Watching Donovan walk ahead of her, carrying her things, Zoe Rhodes looked uncomfortable and tried to tug her hand free, but to no avail.
"Don't move. The salesclerk is still watching."
"So what if they are?"
"I did just tell them you were my girlfriend."
"So what?" Zoe Rhodes didn't get it. "I didn't ask you to say that."
"Tsk." Donovan turned, raising his free hand. "You're not going to be that ungrateful, are you?"
"So it's my fault for helping you?"
Donovan's lips curled into a smirk. "Fine. Then transfer the money to me right now."
"..." Zoe Rhodes was at a loss for words. She tilted her head up and tried to reason with him. "I didn't ask you to pay for me. I had already decided I didn't want it."
'It's not like I was in a rush to wear them. I could have just gone back, gotten my money, and bought them from another store.'
