Summer Thorne couldn't help but rub her temples. "Who knew he was so petty? I have to go, I'll talk to you later."
With that, Summer Thorne hung up the phone.
'Ivan Gray knew I called him and even found the time to call me back.'
'But what about *him*? Not a single peep.'
Summer Thorne had never thought of him as such a petty person before. A wave of irritation washed over her, and she couldn't be bothered to say anything more about it.
Her workday was as hectic as ever, and Summer Thorne threw herself into it, leaving no time to think about anything else.
But on the drive home after work, her thoughts inevitably drifted back to him.
After driving for a while, Summer Thorne finally gave in and called Ivan Gray again.
'This time of day, if he's out of town, he should be at a business dinner. Ivan should be able to pick up.'
Sure enough, Ivan Gray answered a moment later. "Miss Thorne?"
