Nearly twenty days had passed since he was severely injured and Summer Thorne had watched over him in his room all night.
They hadn't seen each other since.
The last time Summer Thorne saw him, he had been in such immense pain that his original features were almost unrecognizable.
Now, however, he had recovered, looking as distinguished and handsome as ever. He only seemed to have lost a lot of weight, which made him appear even more refined.
But Summer Thorne didn't dare to look for too long.
Her gaze lowered slightly, settling on his chest. After a long moment, she finally spoke. "I never expected to run into a man as busy as you in a foreign country, Mr. York."
Summer Thorne's tone was perfectly level, betraying no emotion.
Timothy York's eyes remained fixed on her face as he said slowly, "If I hadn't been delayed in Melborne for a week, I might have run into you sooner."
Hearing this, Summer Thorne couldn't help but look at his face again.
