Hearing Summer Thorne's question, Timothy York simply let out a low chuckle and posed a question of his own.
Summer Thorne slowly lifted her head to look at him.
Her eyes were clear as she said, word by word, "I'm not asking about the banquet. I'm asking about Mason Crawford."
Timothy York lowered his head, his gaze meeting hers for a long moment before he said in a low voice, "I'm standing right here, perfectly fine."
Summer Thorne was speechless for a moment.
He was, indeed, standing right there, perfectly fine.
But given Mason Crawford's methods, just being able to stand here was probably no easy feat.
A storm of emotions churned within Summer Thorne. After a long pause, she threw herself into his arms once more.
'No matter what, this outcome is something to be grateful for.'
