His back was pressed against the doors, his hands clasped behind him as he stared me down. He stood rigid, and controlled, as if he was holding himself very carefully in place.
I was momentarily dazed.
I had commanded him to leave and he had fought against it?
With what power? The one he has now because of me? How dare he?
I gathered my essence and shoved it at him with everything I had.
"Get. Out."
His entire body went rigid, every muscle locking in place. A violent shudder ran through him, and his hand shot out to grip the door frame for support as his knees threatened to buckle.
It really worked…
But I hated how he was fighting back. I stepped forward and stopped when blood started trickling from his nose.
The thin dark line crept down to his upper lip as the whites of his eyes started to redden. As I watched in stunned silence, more blood seeped from the corner of his eye, streaking down his cheek like a crimson tear.
Fashire went still.
