Chapter 50 - The Spider Suit

In New York City, inside Peter's home—

Tony, who had been discussing technical matters with Peter, suddenly received a call.

The voice on the other end was all too familiar.

That one-eyed troublemaker.

"Hello, you've reached the real-time holographic projection of Tony Stark. Please leave your message after the beep. Beep—"

Tony casually prepared to hang up.

He had no intention of dealing with this guy.

After all, this was the same man who once invited him to join some so-called "superhero team"… only to later say he didn't qualify.

Arrogant. Narcissistic. Self-destructive.

Okay… maybe some of that was true.

But still—

He was Tony Stark.

Getting rejected?

Unacceptable.

"Tony, we've got a problem. We need your help."

Tony paused.

Then slowly raised the phone again, a smirk forming on his face.

"Oh wow. The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. actually has problems? Now that's a first."

Just as he was about to enjoy this rare moment—

Peter suddenly leaned into view.

"Oh, so this is what Nick Fury looks like."

"…What did you expect?" Tony asked.

Peter thought for a moment, recalling Samuel L. Jackson's face from memory.

"Hmm… maybe a rounder head? Shinier too?"

On the screen, Fury narrowed his eye slightly.

Peter recognizing him didn't matter.

Even calling out his identity directly didn't matter.

People at Peter's level—

Had the right to know.

A future world's richest man.

In America, that meant power.

Even the President would have to listen.

"Tony," Fury continued, ignoring Peter entirely, "Coulson's in trouble in New Mexico. We don't have the manpower to send backup. I need you."

"Coulson?"

If it had been Fury alone asking—

Tony might have brushed it off.

But Coulson?

That was different.

They had worked together often.

There was mutual respect.

Even friendship.

Tony's expression turned serious.

"Alright. Send me the coordinates. I'll head over—"

"Not later. Now."

Fury's tone left no room for delay.

Tony nodded.

He understood.

Hanging up, he set his glass aside and shrugged at Peter.

"Guess we'll continue this later. Don't worry, I'll finish that lesson for you."

He grinned.

"But right now… standing before you is Iron Man."

Peter shook his head.

Then—

Without warning—

He flicked his hand.

Thud!

Tony was instantly slammed to the ground.

"…Wow. Weak Iron Man."

"Hey! That was a sneak attack!" Tony snapped. "Try that again when I've got my suit on!"

Peter released him and pulled him back up.

"If you're nothing without the suit," Peter said calmly, "then you don't deserve to wear it."

Tony froze.

"You can't wear it every second of your life. What—are you going to marry it?"

Peter's gaze sharpened slightly.

"Real strength comes from yourself."

Then he smirked.

"And besides… it's just a suit. You act like you're the only one who has one."

He tapped his wrist.

A hidden mechanism activated.

The bookshelf in the living room slid aside, revealing a concealed compartment.

Inside—

A suit.

A sleek, mechanical armor—

Colored in red and blue.

But what stood out the most—

Were the eyes.

Large.

Sharp.

Unmistakable.

"Take a good look, Iron Man."

Peter stepped forward.

"The one standing before you… is Spider-Man."

"…Spider-Man?"

Tony stared at the suit.

At the spider emblem.

At the web-like patterns.

Then back at Peter.

His expression practically screamed:

You've got to be kidding me.

"Yeah," Peter said casually. "It's a modified version of the Red Goblin armor—still a prototype. Combined with my serum, wearing it feels like driving a supercar."

He shrugged.

"I'm not into cars. But this? This I like."

He removed his coat—

And began equipping the suit right in front of Tony.

This armor—

A fusion of Goblin tech, advanced engineering, and unique enhancements—

Was even more powerful than the Iron Spider suit from the films.

On raw combat capability alone—

It could rival Tony's Iron Man armor.

But more importantly—

It was designed specifically for Spider-enhanced physiology.

Only someone like Peter—

Could unlock its full potential.

As the suit sealed into place, Peter looked at Tony with a faint smile—

The exact same expression Tony once wore when showing off his own armor.

Tony didn't like that.

Not one bit.

Because now—

That feeling—

Wasn't his alone anymore.

"…Can it fly?" Tony asked, narrowing his eyes. "Because where I'm going is a bit far."

Peter chuckled.

"Fly? Of course I can."

The original Goblin armor had gliders.

With some modifications—

They could function as full aerial wings.

Tony glanced at the suit again.

No Arc Reactor.

No stabilizers.

He shook his head.

"Try to keep up," he said, heading outside. "I'm in a hurry."

Waiting there—

Was a specialized transport vehicle.

Inside—

The Iron Man armor awaited.
