Chapter 14 - The Vast Open World

For 'tis the Great Wide Plain, the place where all life resides. There may never be a before or after for thee. Only the now can you exist in. Such is the eminent quality of those without immanence.

And there was a world to explore, a world within a world. But this one, the limits were clear. The Creator had finite time and resources. But the world outside that world, the one folks are not enamored with, that is the true beauty. If only ye shall seek it!

For the civilized realm was constructed for a purpose; but this purpose, like man, is malleable and indeterminate. What once made thee laugh may cause sorrow thereafter. The blessings of society may end up as a disease.

And upon that day of realizing the two worlds, you must venture across the great river divide and tangle yourself up in the boundless uncertainty that awaits. On these safe shores you travailed and the borderless seas now call you. Make it your home, thine stead.

There is no mortal or immortal to hound you in these deep, fathomless waters. Above and below, you are alone. In these moments of escape, realize the place you called home was lovely, and that the liberty at your disposal now provides no inherent purpose. It is, in the end, up to you.
