Chapter 46 – He's Coming Home
The final school bell rang loudly across HVIS.
And immediately—
Section E exploded into noise.
Cin was somehow standing on a chair already.
"FREEEEDOM."
"You're literally going home to do homework," Felix deadpanned while packing his bag.
"Don't ruin my fantasy."
Meanwhile—
JJ slowly packed her things while pretending she did NOT faint dramatically in front of almost two hundred students earlier.
Unfortunately—
her friends refused to let it go.
Freya snatched JJ's bag first.
"Nope."
JJ blinked.

"You're not carrying anything."
"I fainted, Freya. I didn't lose my limbs."
Percy appeared beside them instantly like a summoned demon.

"You're enjoying this way too much."

Yuri leaned against the doorway watching the chaos with amusement while eating chips he definitely stole from someone.

"Honestly," Yuri said lazily, "JJ collapsing caused more emotional damage than Kaizer Watson."
"DON'T COMPARE ME TO A CLAN WAR," JJ shouted.

Cin gasped dramatically.
"She admits she's dangerous."
"YOU literally cried when she fainted," Yuri reminded him calmly.
Cin pointed aggressively.
"That was emotional support tears."
Felix looked tired already.
"It's four in the afternoon."

The Walk To The Parking Lot
The group moved downstairs together loudly.
Which basically looked like a small gang takeover.
Percy walked dramatically beside JJ carrying her bag, water bottle, jacket, and somehow her snacks too.
JJ looked disgusted.
"I can walk myself."
"No."
"Percy."
"No."
"Percival Mariano."
"That sounds racist."
Yuri nearly choked laughing.
Even Aries looked like he was fighting a smile beside Ella.
JJ noticed immediately.
"Oh my God," she gasped dramatically. "Ella made Aries feel joy."
Aries looked offended.
"I feel joy."
"No you don't."
"Correct," Yuri answered before Aries could.
Aries shoved him immediately.
Yuri grinned.
And somehow—
despite everything—
despite illness, fear, London, Kaizer—
this still felt warm.
Like family.
The loud messy kind.

Fernandez Mansion Chaos
The moment they arrived home—
Angelo already knew something happened.
Because Percy entered dramatically carrying JJ's bag like a grieving widow.
Angelo looked up slowly from the living room.
"…why do you look emotionally unstable."
Percy pointed at JJ instantly.
"She collapsed."
Silence.
Dangerous silence.
JJ closed her eyes slowly.

Death.
Angelo stood up immediately.
"What."
"I'm alive," JJ answered quickly.

Angelo's eyes slowly shifted toward JJ.
JJ immediately pointed at Percy.
"He's lying."
"I watched you eat dry cereal at seven in the morning."
Yuri casually sat on the couch eating chips.
"She really did."
JJ gasped.
"WHY ARE ALL OF YOU AGAINST ME."
"Because survival matters," Yuri answered calmly.
That shut JJ up for exactly three seconds.

"Still rude."
Even Angelo looked less tense after hearing her argue again.
Because honestly?
JJ being loud meant JJ was okay.
At least that's what everyone believed.

By 11 PM—
the mansion finally quieted down.
Percy asleep downstairs with TV still on.

Keifer appeared on screen sitting inside his apartment in London.

Glasses low on his nose.
City lights glowing behind him through massive windows.

"This is actually evil."

"How's Manila?" he asked softly.

"Cin screamed because Felix stole his fries."

"And Yuri nearly fought a vending machine today."

"According to him, it ate his money."
Keifer actually laughed quietly hearing that through the phone.
"Nevermind."
JJ smiled softly hearing him laugh again.
It made the distance hurt less somehow.

Keifer closed one document finally before leaning back slightly.
"You free day after tomorrow?"
JJ narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
"…why."
"Because I'm coming home."
Silence.
Complete silence.
JJ blinked once.
Then twice.
Then suddenly screamed so loudly Yuri nearly dropped his noodles downstairs.
"WHAT."
Keifer laughed softly now.
"The board meetings finished early."
"YOU'RE SERIOUS?"
"Yes."
JJ immediately stood up on the bed dramatically.
"PERCY."
Silence downstairs.
Then—
"WHAT HAPPENED."
"THE RAT IS RETURNING."
Percy's scream echoed through the mansion next.
"THE CAPITALIST."
Even Aries came out of his room now confused.
"What's happening."
JJ shoved the phone toward him dramatically.
"Watson is coming back."
Aries stared at the screen.

JJ buried her face into the pillow screaming while the entire group chat continued burning around her.
