Kael stood over the corpse, breathing hard. Sweat on his skin. His mana reserves sat at just 36%.
"Finally." He exhaled slowly. "With this domain, I can fight anyone from mid Mana Heart all the way to Rank 6." A pause. "But it's quite draining. Just two minutes and more than half my mana is gone."
A shadow detached from the treeline.
Lira materialized beside him with a towel in hand, her expression as composed as always despite the battlefield of corpses surrounding them.
"My lord." She extended the towel. "It seems you've achieved your desired results."
Kael took it and dried his face. "Yeah."
"Also." Lira's tone shifted slightly — still respectful, but carrying an edge of warning. "Since my lord hasn't paid any heed to the mission calls from the Fourth Lady, she seems quite angry. She will surely make your next mission significantly more difficult."
Kael's hand paused on the towel.
