The spider lunged.
All eight remaining eyes burned with feral desperation as it closed the distance,
Kael didn't move.
He let the spider come. When it reached within his striking range,
Slaughter Intent erupted outward like a pressure wave from a dying star.
The spider froze mid-strike.
Its eyes glazed. Its muscles locked. The intent didn't just terrify — it dominated. Every survival instinct in the creature's body screamed at it to submit, to curl into a ball, to accept the predator's judgment.
The remaining Foundation Establishment beasts nearby — collapses as the pressure from the intent destroyed their bodies. Their already broken bodies burst under the residual pressure, organs liquefying, bones cracking post-mortem. The weaker Mana Heart beasts that had been circling at the clearing's edge — the Rank 1 spiders still tangled in shadow tendrils — convulsed and died. Their hearts simply stopped, unable to withstand the psychic weight of concentrated slaughter.
