Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

Episode 24: After the Darkness

The light faded slowly.

The forest… was gone.

No more shadows.

No more whispers.

No more fear.

Marcus stood alone.

The place that was once full of darkness…

Was now open land.

Quiet.

Peaceful.

He looked around slowly.

The trees were gone.

The black fog… gone.

Even the air felt different.

Clean.

Marcus took a deep breath.

For the first time…

It didn't hurt.

"Elara…" he whispered softly.

No answer.

His chest tightened.

But he didn't cry this time.

He just stood there…

Remembering.

Her voice.

Her strength.

Her smile.

"You're free now…" he said quietly.

The wind blew gently.

Soft.

Warm.

Marcus turned…

And began to walk.

Out of the place that once tried to destroy him.

Days passed.

Marcus finally reached the edge of the land.

Beyond it…

The world was normal again.

Villages.

People.

Life.

He stepped forward slowly.

People noticed him.

A hunter…

Who came from the forest no one ever returned from.

"You survived?" one man asked, shocked.

Marcus nodded quietly.

"It's gone…"

The people looked at each other.

Confused.

Afraid to believe it.

But soon…

They saw it themselves.

No more darkness.

No more missing hunters.

No more fear.

The forest…

Was truly gone.

Marcus became known everywhere.

The hunter who ended the darkness.

The one who survived.

But inside him…

There was still silence.

At night…

He would sit alone.

Looking at the sky.

"Elara…" he would whisper.

And sometimes…

The wind would move softly around him.

Like a voice.

Like a presence.

Like she was still there.

One night…

Something strange happened.

Marcus stood outside, looking at the stars.

The air was calm.

Peaceful.

Then suddenly—

A cold wind passed behind him.

He froze.

Slowly…

He turned around.

For a moment…

He saw it.

A shadow.

Quick.

Gone in a second.

Marcus's eyes narrowed.

His grip tightened.

The silence returned.

But something felt… wrong.

Very wrong.

Marcus looked into the darkness ahead.

His voice was calm.

But serious.

"So… it's not over…"

The wind moved again.

Colder this time.

Marcus slowly reached for his sword.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

Not fear.

Not weakness.

But readiness.

"Then I'll be ready…"

The camera of the story pulls back…

Far away…

Into the night…

Where deep in the distance…

For just one second…

A pair of faint glowing eyes…

Appear.

Watching.

Waiting.
