Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Unespected Encounter

Episode 1: The Unexpected Encounter

The sky wept that evening.

Rain fell heavily over the streets, washing away the noise of the city, leaving behind only the sound of rushing water and distant thunder. People ran for shelter, their footsteps hurried, their faces hidden beneath umbrellas.

Samuel wasn't running.

He walked slowly, soaked already, his shirt clinging to his skin. His mind was far away—from the world, from the rain, from everything. Life had not been easy. Responsibilities weighed on him like chains. Since his father's death, everything had changed. He had become the pillar of his family overnight.

"God…" he whispered under his breath, his voice almost lost in the storm,

"when will things get better?"

As if heaven heard him—but chose to answer in a way he never expected.

BAM!

He collided with someone.

A soft gasp followed.

"I'm so sorry!" Samuel said quickly, snapping back to reality.

The girl he bumped into had dropped her bag, and its contents scattered on the wet ground. Without thinking, Samuel bent down to help her gather them.

"I didn't see you—"

"It's okay," she replied.

Her voice was calm. Gentle. Different.

Samuel froze.

He looked up.

And for a moment… the world stood still.

Her eyes.

They weren't just beautiful—they carried something deeper. Something peaceful. Something that felt… familiar. Like a memory he never knew he had.

"I'm really sorry," Samuel repeated, softer this time.

She smiled.

"It's fine. Maybe… it was meant to happen."

Samuel blinked.

"Meant to happen?"

She nodded slightly, clutching her bag. Rain continued to fall between them, but neither moved.

"Some meetings aren't accidents," she said. "Sometimes… they're answers."

Those words struck him.

Answers?

To what?

To his prayer?

Before he could respond, a loud thunderclap echoed across the sky. She glanced upward, then back at him.

"I have to go," she said.

"Wait—" Samuel stepped forward slightly. "What's your name?"

She hesitated for a second.

Then smiled again.

"Zara."

Just that.

No explanation. No last name.

And then… she walked away.

Samuel stood there, watching her disappear into the rain like a dream fading with the night.

That night, Samuel couldn't sleep.

Her voice echoed in his mind.

"Some meetings aren't accidents… they're answers."

He sat on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

"God…" he whispered again,

"was that You?"

A strange peace settled in his heart.

For the first time in a long while… he smiled.

Meanwhile…

Zara stood by her window, watching the rain fall gently against the glass.

She held her bag close to her chest.

"Samuel…" she murmured softly, as if testing the sound of his name.

Her eyes closed.

"Is this really part of Your plan?" she asked quietly.

A tear slipped down her cheek—but she smiled through it.

"Please… don't let this end in pain again."
