Rushing through the forest having passed the border seemed to take a lifetime. Every movement was cautious, and I was aware that every delay could easily cost Wren's mother her life. But, eventually we reached the pack hospital, and without hesitation, Freya was swept into the hospital leaving us stood outside momentarily.
Patrick gave me a brief nod. "I will leave you to handle this, son." He told me calmly. "I have things I need to address. You did well, both of you. Because of you, that woman stands a hope at surviving. Hopefully with the care of the doctors she will be just fine."
