The man may be a part of Kael's family, but there was something about him that put me on edge. He had a darkness to his aura. Almost like a villain in a storybook. He did not seem genuine, no matter the smiles and warmth he attempted. He always had a look behind those dark eyes of his that made him look like he was planning something...
And, today had been no different. The moment he had appeared he had made my skin crawl. I did not like the way he was talking to me. Like he was trying to withdraw information from me like he had a right to interrogate me. The way my wolf snarled within my mind was enough to tell me that she was unsure of his actions too. He was not as in with the family as he liked to think... or was he suspicious of Wren and I? Because if that were the case then our wedding plans could well and truly be scuppered.
