He pulled me through the trees at the south side of the house, my vegetable patch visible in the far distance. I grimaced at the steep hill he was steering me toward and decided to voice my concerns.
"Is this where you are going to reject or kill me?"
He chuckled. "No. Just surprise you."
"I am not convinced. This is giving me very strong murder vibes."
"You watch too much television with Molly," he grunted.
"I have a lot to catch up on," I said honestly. "I just started Friends."
I had no idea why I was rambling. I blamed Cel's nerves and the warmth still coming from his hand around mine.
He stopped and drew me up beside him. My eyes dropped immediately to where his hand still held mine and I felt the heat climb up my neck. I looked away quickly, back down the hill we had just climbed.
"Do not think you are going to get away with..."
"Look," he said quietly.
