"Oh, that York sent me a letter?" Leticia, who had been so bored in the Demon Kings Palace that she was about to grow mushrooms, took the letter her sister handed her with a surprised look. "Has she gone crazy? Or did someone smash her brain in?"
"I don't know." Kira frowned as she looked at her sister's attire; even in the bedchamber, dressing like this was simply too revealing.
It was a semi-transparent white gauze nightgown, and through the fine white fabric, one could faintly see Leticia's pure white underwear.
Her two snow-white jade legs rested on the edge of the bed, and her rosy, fair skin made one involuntarily have the urge to take a bite out of it.
She didn't look like a Demon King at all!
Kira looked down at her own attire: a dignified and elegant black dress, with a hem falling to the middle of her calves, revealing legs covered in white silk stockings paired with small black leather shoes.
On the long dress, a large bird spreading its wings was embroidered with golden silk thread, and various lace decorations further highlighted the girl's features.
A princess of the Demon Race, the Demon King's own younger sister, should be dressed like this.
But our Demon King herself… sigh.
"At least when Your Majesty meets with the Heavenly Kings, she is very serious." Luna stood to one side, smoothing things over for Leticia.
Indeed, although she was extremely unwilling, Leticia had still picked an overcast day to meet with the four suckers she had carefully selected.
She let them know she was still around, and incidentally gave them a warning to prevent these four errand runners from developing any improper thoughts.
The effect, well, was quite good.
When the Four Heavenly Kings left the palace, their clothes were already drenched.
Mm, scared by Leticia.
Leticia putting on a serious expression was quite imposing; although her complexion was a bit poor, the Four Heavenly Kings didn't really notice that.
They only knew that the Demon King was always there, and always watching them.
"Those four guys…" Leticia rolled her eyes. She never had any good feelings for these Four Heavenly Kings anyway. If it weren't for the ancestral rules of the Demon Race requiring the Four Heavenly Kings, she would have long ago fired those four losers.
Using a letter opener to slice open the envelope, Leticia began to read the letter Melanie had sent, word by word.
As she read, her expression gradually became strange.
After finishing the letter, she took another sheet of paper out of the envelope and handed it to Kira. "This is written to you by Leticia."
"Huh?"
"Yori, your good friend." Leticia shoved the letter into Kira's hand while she herself began to think about the matter mentioned in Melanie's letter.
Yori had found a severely injured girl—ah, it should be said, a girl poisoned with an exotic poison.
Human doctors had no way to deal with the poison the girl was afflicted with. In that doctor's words, this poison was likely a specialty of another race.
So, Melanie sought out Emily—that Demon Race girl who had accepted Kira's order to infiltrate Melanie's home, only to be caught red-handed by Leticia.
Before leaving, Kira had left Emily's contact information with Melanie, agreeing that if anything came up, she could have Emily contact them.
So, upon learning that the poison the girl was afflicted with was not from the human side, Melanie contacted Emily to have this Demon Race girl check the situation.
And the answer Emily gave was quite a headache; she said the poison was indeed a magical creation, but she was too unskilled to cure it.
That was true; Emily was a combat—no, a clerical worker. She wasn't a doctor, so it would be strange if she could cure poison.
However, she offered her own opinion: there should be someone in the Demon Race who could cure the poison.
So Melanie wrote a letter to ask Leticia for someone.
As for Yori's letter, it was just included along with it.
After hearing that Melanie was going to write a letter to her Quinn, this little girl clamored to write one to Luca as well, so there were two letters for two people in this envelope.
The older sister's to the older sister, the younger sister's to the younger sister—it was quite symmetrical.
"Black hair, emerald green eyes—sounds like a Half-Elf." After Kira finished reading Yori's letter, Leticia handed Melanie's letter to her sister, intending to hear her sister's opinion.
Kira nodded; such iconic features were indeed characteristic of a Half-Elf.
"If it's a Half-Elf, the poison on her should be from the Elf Race, so coming to us, the Demon Race, doesn't seem…" Kira paused, suddenly thinking of that doctor. "I wonder if Dr. Candice has a way."
Dr. Candice was the doctor who complained that Leticia used burning blood as a daily method, and she was also a quite famous doctor on the Demon Race side.
As it happened, this doctor was coming over today to check on Leticia's recovery progress.
After the doctor arrived, Leticia told her about the matter in the letter.
"Elf Race poison? I've only seen it in books; dealing with it in reality might not be so simple." After hearing Leticia's account, the young physician wearing a monocle said in a deep voice.
She was still very young, and in terms of experience, she couldn't compare to those old seniors.
Dealing with Elf Race poison was indeed a somewhat challenging matter for her.
"Kira, I have a proposal!" Candice didn't directly state that she had no way, which immediately made Leticia's mind active.
It seemed she could use this matter to return to the Human World and enjoy herself!
"Rejected."
"Eh, I haven't even said what the proposal is yet."
"Sister definitely wants to go to the Human World to keep playing games, right?" Kira huffed. She had finally managed to drag her sister back, so how could she let her go back so easily?
"Of course not!" Leticia immediately indicated that she hadn't thought that at all. "I am just showing our sincerity to our human friends!"
She was currently a comrade-in-arms on the same front as Melanie, and when a comrade requested support, she naturally had to help.
It was just that while helping, using the computer at home incidentally wasn't such a big problem, right?
Actually, if Luna could have brought Leticia's laptop back to the Demon Realm, Leticia wouldn't be so desperate to return to the Human World.
Although she couldn't get online, she could still play the single-player games that were already downloaded, and charging it for a mage like Leticia wasn't something difficult to solve.
Unfortunately, when Luna came back, she just didn't bring the computer along.
And after returning to the Demon Realm, it was unlikely that Luna would go to the Human World alone to bring the computer back; she still had to take care of the weak Leticia.
"But Sister hasn't recovered yet."
"Isn't Dr. Candice going with us? With her by my side, it's completely fine!"
"But…"
"No 'buts.' You pack up too, we can go together, right?"
