"You want to seize control of my body?" Leticia asked subconsciously.
Kira had certainly never told her that this divine artifact contained something like this. Calling herself a god was truly a bit ridiculous.
Gods only existed in myths; there were no traces of them in the history of any race—this was something Leticia knew very clearly.
"For your body to serve as a vessel for a god, what an honor that is. Why would you refuse?" The girl tilted her head slightly, seemingly unable to understand Leticia's reaction.
In her view, offering one's body to the supreme deity was an extremely glorious matter.
"I think your brain is broken. Why should I give my body to you?" Leticia retorted impolitely. This girl was like a lunatic, demanding her body the moment they met. What kind of situation was this?
Even if she wanted to give it, she wouldn't know how.
"I won't hand my sister over to you." Kira also said, shaking her fist. "I don't know which god you are, but your era is over. Stay obediently inside your Divine Realm!"
Kira clearly knew more; she didn't seem surprised by the existence of gods.
"Obediently? I've been stuck in this dark, sunless place for who knows how long! I don't care about those boring covenants; I just want out!" The girl loudly refuted. "I am a god! Not a prisoner locked in a jail!"
When the girl's emotions fluctuated, the entire Fog City began to tremble slightly.
"You are prisoners!" Kira said coldly. "Otherwise, why would you be confined within the Divine Realm?"
The girl fell silent. After a long moment, she raised her hand, and a spear formed by coalesced mist was grasped in her hand. "Despising a god is a crime punishable by death!"
The spear was thrown, aimed directly at Kira, who was standing beside Leticia.
"How dare you!" Leticia immediately shielded Kira behind her. A Magic Shield, shimmering with fantastical light, instantly appeared in front of her, blocking the incoming spear.
The spear and the shield collided. Leticia's face paled slightly; the spear contained terrifying energy, making even her feel a bit strained.
This bastard truly intended to kill Kira.
"Hmph, your strength isn't bad." The girl folded her arms, watching emotionlessly as her spear was blocked by Leticia's shield. "Too bad you're facing a true god."
"Tch, stop boasting. You should probably think about what posture you want to die in later." Leticia didn't show weakness; she knew an extremely difficult battle awaited her.
But she couldn't exert her full power right now. The Demonic Sword that had accompanied her for many years was left behind in the palace. She was currently relying on Staffless Casting, which weakened her power to a certain extent.
There was no difference when facing weak opponents, but battling this self-proclaimed goddess, any slight disadvantage could lead to her defeat.
What would happen after failure?
She would definitely be finished. Her body would be stolen, Kira would be killed. Leticia believed this 'god' was capable of such things.
"Then we'll see if you have the capability, little girl." The girl's eyes, filled with mist, stared intently at Leticia, as one misty spear after another slowly appeared behind her.
"Sister, use my Magic Staff first." Seeing her sister's expression worsen, Kira also realized the danger of this fight. "Your Demonic Sword has been kept in the palace; I didn't bring it this time."
Leticia did not refuse. Although she wasn't the owner of the Magic Staff, it could still provide some amplification to her magic.
Now was not the time to stubbornly cling to pride.
"I remember I made this Magic Staff myself," Leticia said nostalgically, taking the staff handed to her by her sister.
The materials for this Magic Staff were the same as those for her Demonic Sword; they were just shaped into different styles according to the sisters' preferences.
So, theoretically, Leticia using this Magic Staff had the same effect as using her own Demonic Sword.
As the Magic Staff entered her hand, Leticia immediately felt a surge of joy from within it. Clearly, the staff had not forgotten its creator.
"Phew. You two go up and save the person first. I'll hold the line here."
"Okay, Sister, be careful." Kira nodded, knowing that staying here would only increase her sister's burden.
Moreover, closing the Fog City didn't require the consent of this goddess girl.
Her mission was to reactivate that thing inside the Fog City before her sister couldn't hold out anymore.
At that time, Fog City would enter a locked state, expelling everyone inside, leaving only the goddess girl behind.
Watching the three girls run quickly up toward the top of the Clock Tower, a ripple appeared in the girl's eyes.
That little girl seemed to know something about gods. If she really found the core, the girl would be locked up again for who knows how long.
This wouldn't do.
She waved her hand, and the misty spears immediately shot toward Kira.
"Before you hurt my sister, ask me, her older sister, if I agree!" Leticia wielded the Magic Staff, shattering the misty spears one after another. "You're starting to get scared."
"A god does not feel fear." The girl's attention returned to Leticia. "As long as I acquire a body before the core activates, I can escape this damned place."
"Then we'll have to see if you have the power, Miss Self-Proclaimed God." The Magic Torrent within Leticia's body began to flow slowly, and an indescribably terrifying pressure descended upon this space.
This was the true Leticia, the most powerful Magician in the world, the Empress of the Demon Race, a mighty existence standing at the peak of the world.
Even though she hadn't fought for many years, the moment she grasped the Magic Staff again, her body returned to how it was years ago, when Leticia was a true warrior.
"This feeling really brings back memories." Gently exhaling a breath of stale air, Leticia raised the Magic Staff, pointed it at the girl, and said coldly, "Come on. Since you call yourself a god, let me see how powerful a god truly is!"
"Heh, ignorant fool." A trace of anger appeared on the girl's face. "You will pay the price for your disrespect."
"Just boasting won't cut it. The strength you've shown so far is not enough for me to acknowledge you as a god."
"Oh? Is that so?" The girl's face turned cold. "Then, watch carefully how immense the power belonging to a god truly is!"
