Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Idiot girl

Chapter 3

Ten minutes later!

The waterfront promenade!

Vroom.. Vroom..

With a deep, powerful engine roar, I parked the Porsche in the public parking lot along the waterfront.

"Oh, a supercar?!"

"What's so great about supercars? There are plenty of those metal junk around."

"Wait, this isn't just any supercar! That's the Porsche 911 GT1-98 — there's only one in the entire world!"

"What? Only one car in the world? is that real thing?"

"Quick, take a photo! Send it to your Moments!"

The moment the car pulled in, it was immediately recognised by supercar enthusiast, causing quite a stir among the crowd.

I didn't pay much attention to the excitement and calmly parked the car in an empty spot and sat there for a moment.

Deep down, I was still a little curious about how the Riverside Manor villa I had bought in just cents, how would it deed will be delivered to me.

I waited for about thirty seconds and suddenly my phone rang, i picked it up — it was an unknown number.

I answered the call.

A sweet female voice came through the speaker.

"Hello, this is the Riverside Manor Sales Department. Am I speaking with Mr. Lucas Moore?"

I raised my eyebrows slightly and replied "Yes, that's me."

"Hello, Mr. Moore. The property deed for the villa you purchased at Riverside Manor has been processed. When would you be free to come pick it up?"

"Already, i'm free at the moment. I'll head over right now."

"Perfect, sir. The entire sales team at Riverside Manor will be waiting for your arrival!" After she finished speaking, the phone hung up.

The corners of my mouth lifted slightly, "Who would have thought, getting a property deed is this easy?" Sitting in the driver's seat, I chuckled softly.

Then I set the navigation, stepped on the accelerator, and drove straight toward the Riverside Manor sales office.

---

Meanwhile, at the Riverside Manor Sales Department.

Lily hung up the phone with an excited look on her face. "Manager Hayes! I just contacted Mr. Moore!"

The moment those words left her mouth, the entire sales floor erupted.

"Mr. Moore is coming?"

"It's that same Mr. Moore who bought the king villa?!"

"Oh my God, the mysterious billionaire who spent six hundred million dollars on the top property is finally showing up!"

As soon as everyone heard that the mysterious buyer who had purchased the most expensive villa at Riverside Manor was on his way, the whole office buzzed with excitement; many of the female sales associates were already thinking about how to make a good impression on him — maybe even get his contact information.

At that exact moment, the door to the manager's office burst open.

A middle-aged man in a sharp black suit rushed out.

"You contacted Mr. Moore?! Quick! Where is he now?" Manager Hayes' face was full of nervousness. He clearly didn't dare to slack off in the slightest; after all, his superiors had given strict orders: never neglect or offend this mysterious client.

Now that the mysterious buyer was actually coming, they had to treat him with the highest possible standards.

"I just spoke with him. He said he'll be here shortly."

Manager Hayes nodded, then he looked around at the entire team and spoke loudly.

"Everyone, stay sharp! Mr. Moore will be arriving soon! Remember, there must be no mistakes or problems. If anything goes wrong, none of you will have a good time!"

At that moment, all the sales staff looked tense; morever, Manager Hayes himself was clearly emotional and anxious.

This Mr. Moore was incredibly mysterious. He only knew the man's phone number and last name, no one had any idea what he even looked like.

So how could he not be nervous? The entire Riverside Manor sales department was in full preparation mode.

...

Unaware of the situation in the sales department, I parked my Porsche in the underground parking lot nearby and walked into the sales office.

The place was bright and spacious, almost empty except for a large map on the wall and an oversized villa scale model in the center, the moment I stepped inside, a young female saleswoman in professional attire approached me with a friendly smile.

"Hello sir, how may I assist you today?"

Before I could answer, another sharp voice cut in.

"Emily, didn't I tell you? We're not receiving regular clients today!" A woman dressed extravagantly, with heavy makeup on her face, walked over.

"Director Clarke, I was just—" The young saleswoman tried to explain, but Director Clarke interrupted her immediately "Enough! Manager Hayes specifically instructed us just now! When Mr. Moore arrives, we can't have irrelevant people here ruining the atmosphere! Can you afford to take responsibility if that happens?!"

Then she turned to me, her eyes filled with obvious contempt, with a cold smile, she said, "Sorry, but if you're not here to buy a house, please leave immediately."

I frowned slightly "What do you mean? Can't I just come in and take a look? Besides, is this how you're supposed to treat people?!"

Seeing my reaction, Director Clarke sneered "Heh! Not just anyone can walk in here and look around! Every property here costs hundreds of millions of dollars. Someone like you couldn't afford a single unit even in ten lifetimes! If you're not buying, stop wasting our time and get out right now!"

My frown deepened, i shook my head, I felt too lazy to argue with her anymore, so i just took out my phone, dialled the number from earlier, and called it.

The moment it connected, Lily's voice came through.

"Hello, Mr. Moore? Have you arrived yet?"

"Yes, I'm standing in the lobby of your sales department right now. But it seems one of your staff members really doesn't like me. She's even threatening to throw me out."

The moment I said that, Lily's voice turned shocked and incredulous "What?! Mr. Moore, please wait a moment. The manager and I will be right there!"

She hung up immediately.

At that moment, inside the manager's office, Manager Hayes' face turned as dark as ink, rage boiled up from the bottom of his heart; he couldn't believe that despite all his warnings, someone had still managed to offend Mr. Moore; and what more some fool even dared to threaten to throw him out?!

"Let's not waste time and hurry up!" He and Lily rushed downstairs in a hurry.

Back in the lobby, Director Clarke saw me hang up the phone and sneered again "Heh! poor fellow like you're pretty good at pretending, huh? I'd like to see who you manage to call down here!"

Just then, Manager Hayes came rushing down the stairs, the moment he saw the scene, the anger in his chest exploded.

"Lydia Clarke! What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

Director Clarke jumped in fright and turned around quickly, seeing Manager Hayes and Lily hurrying toward her, she immediately put on a flattering smile.

"Oh, Manager Hayes, why did you come down? Is Mr. Moore arriving soon? Don't worry, I'll kick this troublemaker out right now!"

She turned to me and shouted loudly "Did you hear that?! We have a very important VIP coming! Are you going to leave on your own, or do I need to call security to throw you out?!"

The moment the words left her mouth, Manager Hayes roared in fury.

"You, idiot girl! Who do you think you're talking to?!" He pushed past Director Clarke and hurried straight over to me.

Under the stunned and shocked gazes of Director Clarke and the other sales staff, he suddenly bowed deeply in front of me almost exaggerating "Mr. Moore! I'm terribly sorry we're late! I'm David Hayes, the manager of the Riverside Manor sales department. You can just call me David. My subordinate was ignorant and offended you just now. Please forgive us!"
