Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Big White

Shen Muyu forced herself to close her eyes, then groped for the mineral water bottle next to her and took a few sips. With deep breaths, Shen Muyu's mind gradually relaxed.

The moment she opened her eyes, Shen Muyu leaned forward and braced her upper body against the steering wheel. Then, she grabbed the candle in front of the car with one hand and rolled down the window next to her with the other.

The little girl seemed a bit worried about something and didn't immediately squeeze into the car, which gave Shen Muyu an opportunity.

Without hesitation, she switched hands and held the candle to the car window. The candle was no longer the previous eerie green, but emitted the normal yellow light of a candle.

The little girls in front of the window looked like they had been burned; burn marks appeared on their skin, and their horrific screams assaulted Shen Muyu's ears.

Shen Muyu kept opening and closing her mouth to avoid the sharp sound damaging her eardrums.

The humanoid creature behind them, no longer behaving obediently, charged towards the front seat like a madman.

Hearing the commotion behind her, Shen Muyu was not alarmed. She took out a lighter from her backpack, lit another candle, and then, just like before, jabbed the humanoid creature's outstretched hand at it.

Perhaps because it violated the rules and attacked Shen Muyu without cause, the candle burst into red flames as soon as it was lit, and the hand that reached out to grab the candle turned to ashes in an instant.

Unable to bear the pain, the humanoid creature was thrown out, clutching its half-severed arm in the back of the carriage and crying desperately. The other animals, who were already huddled together, trembled even more now.

Perhaps seeing that the inside man was temporarily no longer useful, the little girl who was being scorched by the car window was taken back. Upon seeing this, Shen Muyu immediately closed the car window and then used it to observe the road conditions.

In just a few dozen seconds, the candle in Shen Muyu's hand disappeared completely. After putting it back on the table, Shen Muyu slightly increased the speed of the car.

The road was too disadvantageous for her to handle, so she needed to find a station and stop as soon as possible.

The platforms that used to appear every few minutes now seem to have vanished.

The cries of the humanoid creature behind him gradually subsided, while the little girl in front of the car began to stir again. Shen Muyu was so anxious that cold sweat kept pouring down his forehead.

Suddenly, a ray of light appeared in Shen Muyu's sight. Shen Muyu was overjoyed and finally saw the platform. She accelerated and rushed towards the platform again.

Seeing Shen Muyu's intention, the little girl could no longer restrain herself. With a scream, the humanoid creature in the back of the car rushed forward once again.

This time, it charged straight at the candle, its entire body embracing it. With a flash of dazzling red light, the humanoid creature turned into dust-like matter that floated into the air. The problem was that the candle was also extinguished by these things.

Shen Muyu had no choice but to take out a lighter and prepare to relight the candles. She could no longer ignore everything and drive towards the platform.

But the dust was very strange; if only a little bit of it fell at the nozzle, the lighter wouldn't light.

At this moment, cold sweat streamed down Shen Muyu's slender neck, dripping onto her already soaked collar. She tried using a new lighter while her brain raced, but unfortunately, no good solution came to mind.

The little girl outside the car stopped lingering. Several of her bodies turned into liquid and slowly flowed in through the car window.

The process was not as simple as imagined. Not only was the flow very slow, but the other little girls also showed expressions of great pain, as if they were suffering the consequences of violating the rules.

Shen Muyu blinked hard, giving up the idea of lighting the candles, and pressed the accelerator hard, rushing towards the station. Only when the car stopped could she escape and hide in the trunk.

Just as the car picked up speed, a dog barked suddenly in his ear. Shen Muyu thought it was a little black dog, so he ignored it. But the next second, a piece of the windshield suddenly opened up, and a little girl was pulled out.

That seemed to be the little girl's true form; as she disappeared, the other little girls gradually dissipated as well.

Only then did Shen Muyu notice a black and white dog lying at the front of the car, chewing on something. As if noticing Shen Muyu's gaze, it made a swallowing motion and turned its head to the side.

Shen Muyu had no time to pay attention to the dog in front of him, but instead drove the car steadily to the side of the platform.

As the car came to a stop, Shen Muyu finally breathed a sigh of relief. She thought she was going to die there, but she was unexpectedly rescued.

Just as she was about to check on her savior dog, the little black dog on her lap suddenly started barking. At that moment, the big dog at the front of the car seemed to have spotted an enemy and suddenly appeared inside the car.

The big dog reached into Shen Muyu's arms and snatched the little black dog out, then disgustedly tossed it into the trunk. Immediately afterward, it changed its expression, sticking out its tongue and looking at Shen Muyu in a fawning manner.

The dog was a Border Collie, its tail wagging constantly. Shen Muyu stared at it, and the more he looked, the more familiar it seemed.

Seeing that Shen Muyu hadn't petted it yet, the Border Collie got anxious. It spun around in place, then seemed to remember something and immediately raised its head sharply.

A familiar little red cloth hung around its neck, with two crookedly embroidered characters: "Big White".

Memories that had been buried for a long time suddenly appeared clearly in Shen Muyu's mind, and two lines of tears slid down her cheeks.

Shen Muyu's hand trembled slightly as she reached out to the Border Collie. "Big White, is that you?"

"Woof woof!" Seeing that Shen Muyu had finally recognized him, the Border Collie, also known as Big White, responded happily.

Shen Muyu could no longer control her emotions and started crying while hugging the big white fluffy head.

Dabai was a gift from Shen Muyu's parents for her twelfth birthday. It was her playmate since childhood and a little life that she raised little by little. Its importance is self-evident.

Unfortunately, Da Bai ultimately became the catalyst for Shen Muyu and Gu Wenchen's acquaintance, and also became a victim of the plot.

On Shen Muyu's eighteenth birthday, her parents held a grand coming-of-age ceremony for her at the beach. On that day, after the banquet, Shen Muyu, who was playing at the beach with her dog Dabai, encountered Gu Wenchen, who had fallen into the water.

Upon hearing the cries for help, Shen Muyu intended to call for help from the surrounding area, but Da Bai rushed out first and swam towards Gu Wenchen.

They should all have been able to come back, but at the time, out of fear, Gu Wenchen desperately held onto Da Bai and pressed it down, hoping to use it to float to the surface. Of course, who can know for sure whether that was the case?

When Da Bai was rescued, he had no vital signs. After that, Gu Wenchen used the excuse of guilt to get closer to Shen Muyu.

If it were the old Shen Muyu, she would never forgive Gu Wenchen in this lifetime. Although she wouldn't actively cause trouble, she would definitely never see him.

But by then, she had already begun to be influenced by the plot, and before long, she seemed to have forgotten about Baymax. As they spent time together day after day, she seemed to fall in love with Gu Wenchen as if it were only natural.
