Chapter 126 Small Goals for Half a Year
Aaron took a deep breath, placed an order for the Disillusionment Charm, and spent one hundred magicpoints to acquire this invisibility spell.
A blank space appeared again in the magic items column, but feeling the principles and applications of the Disillusionment Charm in his mind, Aaron couldn't help but chuckle.
From today onwards, invisibility would no longer be limited by the quantity of invisibility potions; he could become invisible whenever he wanted. This magic would provide him with considerable convenience in his future life.
As for the thought form skill, Aaron was also very tempted, but the four-digit price was there, almost seven times his current assets.
This was the Pain! of not having money; when he encountered something he wanted, he could only look but not buy.
However, everything in the mall was clearly priced, and there was no concept of expiration. What was his would eventually be his.
Aaron silently cheered himself on in his heart and made a plan to accumulate capital.
School would start in two days. Signing in at Hogwartsearned him ten magic points a day. As long as he diligently signed in and resisted the urge to spend, he could achieve a small goal within half a year.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A knock on the door came, and Dobby asked somewhat cautiously, "Sir, may I come in?"
"Come in!"
Dobby pushed a small cart into the room and placed seven or eight plates from the cart onto the table.
"This is dinner for you and your pet. Are you satisfied?
If it's not enough, I'll go prepare more."
Abey looked at Aaron, hesitated for a moment, and then silently raised one paw: Could I have double?
Aaron's mouth twitched, and he decisively refused this shameless request.
This wasn't his own home. If he really ate that much, it would be hard for Lucius and Narcissa not to notice a problem, and he didn't want more people to know he kept a dragon.
"No need, I'm very satisfied.
You can go now! I'll clean up tomorrow after I leave."
"Alright, Dobby will leave now," the House-elf said politely, silently backed out of the room, and gently closed the door.
"Don't wait, it's just the two of us here." Aaron patted Abey's head, "Eat if you want to, no need to be so reserved."
Abey froze for a moment, quickly jumped onto the table, grabbed a piece of meat, and shoved it into his mouth.
After gnawing through one plate, Abey smacked his lips in satisfaction, but then glanced at Aaron somewhat guiltily.
Seeing that his master didn't say anything, he let loose, sitting on the table and eating like a ravenous beast.
Out of eight plates in total, he only left two for Aaron, eating the rest completely clean.
"You're really not holding back. When it comes to eating, I really can't expect you to amount to anything." Aaronlaughed wryly, picked Abey up, moved him aside, cast a spell to clean the table, and then picked up his knife and fork to dine elegantly... The next day, Aaron opened his eyes and slowly sat up from the bed.
Looking at the sunlight outside, he sighed at being able to sleep until he woke naturally, and stretched lazily, "Another day full of hope, sign in."
"Congratulations, Host, you have received one magic point."
"Better than nothing! One step closer to the small goal." Aaron muttered, having somewhat prepared himself for this number.
Carrying Abey, he walked out of the room and saw Dobbywaiting for him there.
"Why are you here? Is something wrong?"
"This is Master's command," Dobby explained. "Master told me to wait here to be ready to serve the esteemed guest at any time."
Aaron frowned, "How long have you been here?"
"I've been waiting here since around ten last night.
But sir, please rest assured, I haven't done anything impolite."
"Heh heh! Should I believe you when you say that?" Aaronput on a thoughtful expression. "A House-elf who intercepts other people's letters guarding my door all night – it's a terrifying thought."
"Sir, I..." Dobby's eyes welled up with tears, and he looked at the wall, thinking about how hard his head was.
"Alright, it was a joke, I believe you.
But don't do this kind of thing again in the future. I don't like outsiders guarding my door when I'm sleeping."
"But, but this is Master's command, Dobby is just a House-elf, I can only obey."
Aaron heard this, rubbed his forehead, and shook his head helplessly, "Alright! Then I, as your guest, hope you won't guard the guest's door in the future. Can you do that?"
"Yes." Dobby said excitedly, "No problem."
"Has Draco woken up yet?"
"Young Master is up. He said you needed rest and told me not to disturb you."
"Understood," Aaron said, then walked downstairs.
Dobby, meanwhile, walked into the room, pushed the small cart out, and prepared to wash the dishes.
Arriving in the hall, Draco greeted him with a smile, "Good morning. You seem to have rested well last night. You never woke up this late at Hogwarts."
"Indeed, that sleep was uncommonly comfortable."
Draco noticed that Aaron looked much better than yesterday, especially with an unstoppable smile on his face, and couldn't help but ask curiously, "You seem particularly happy. Did you have a good dream?"
"No." Aaron waved his hand, embarrassed. "I just set myself a small goal for the next six months."
"Six months? A small goal?"
"It's a secret, don't ask."
Draco rolled his eyes, speechless. He hadn't intended to ask anyway.
"Since you're awake." Draco walked to the corner and excitedly picked up the Nimbus 2001 from the rack. "Then let's go train quickly."
"Now?
Training first thing in the morning isn't appropriate, is it?"
"There's nothing inappropriate about it. It's already eight o'clock.
Besides, you had so many tutoring classes during the holidays, you must have started training even earlier than me!" Draco said earnestly.
Actually, he usually wouldn't train for Quidditch first thing in the morning. Sleeping in a bit during the holidays was harmless.
But the situation was different now. Yesterday's training made him clearly feel a huge improvement, and his father Lucius also told him to seize the opportunity.
There were still two days until school started. Once they returned to Hogwarts, it would be a pipe dream to ask Aaronto help with training.
Moreover, Aaron had run away from home, and who knew when his family would come looking for him, so Draco had to make the most of this training time.
"But..." Aaron frowned, "I haven't had breakfast yet!"
"It's alright, I've prepared it for you." Draco seemed to have anticipated this, and proudly opened a bento box on the table. "After all, you're a guest. Malfoy wouldn't let a guest help on an empty stomach.
It's good that you have a magic carpet. You can exercise and digest while eating, saving a lot of trouble."
Aaron walked closer to see bacon, sandwiches, fried eggs, sausages, and two cartons of milk in the box.
"You're very well prepared!"
"And." Draco took out another box from under the table, which contained a large piece of roast meat, weighing at least several pounds.
"This is for Abey, and there's fresh squeezed juice under the box."
A flash of white shot over. Abey sniffed at the bento box, then gave Draco a knowing look, constantly clapping his paws together.
Aaron's mouth twitched. He compared his breakfast with Abey's and felt inexplicably disheartened.
He could understand a human being inferior to a dragon, but a master being inferior to a pet was unacceptable.
"Ahem!
Uh, Abey has been on a diet recently, you're helping him make a mistake."
"What?" Draco frowned, looking a bit troubled.
Looking down, Abey was clutching the bento box tightly, refusing to let go, and his expression became incredibly serious, as if to say, if you dare to speak, I dare to bite you to death.
"Haha! It's okay to have a cheat meal once in a while, right!"
Aaron smiled meaningfully, reached out and picked Abeyup, ignoring his struggles, and nonchalantly swapped the two lunch boxes.
"Now everything's in order."
Draco's mouth twitched, but he made no comment.
Soon, the two humans and one dragon appeared in the sky above Malfoy Manor.
Draco diligently searched for the Golden Snitch amidst the chaotic collisions of the quaffle and bludger.
Aaron leisurely drank juice and ate roast meat on the magic carpet, while Abey, with a look of utter despair, gnawed on a sandwich, his large eyes fixed on Aaron's bento box, which should have been his.
At the same time, in Gaius's drinks shop in Diagon Alley, Gines looked at his six subordinates with a worried expression.
"It's been a day, everyone.
We've been searching for a day, but we only know that the Young Master left the Leaky Cauldron, and after that, there are no clues. Isn't this efficiency a bit too low?"
"Boss, we've done our best," the man with glasses said. "We've contacted all of Gaius's friends, and the Young Master isn't at their homes.
We've inquired at Muggle world hotels, stations, even ordinary shops and roadside stalls one by one.
Logically, the Young Master left with five hundred pounds. As long as he spends money, he'll leave a trail, but unfortunately, it seems he hasn't spent a single penny since he left. I strongly suspect he's trying to throw us off."
"Very good, but that only proves our incompetence," Ginessaid unceremoniously.
"But the surrounding hundred kilometers have been sealed off by us, and there are no clues," Anna said. "Unless the Young Master is hiding in the sewers."
"That's impossible." Gines immediately dismissed this guess. "He's just run away from home, not fleeing for his life. There's no need to go to such extremes."
"Wait!" Gines suddenly thought of something. "Since above ground and underground are ruled out, the only route the Young Master could have taken is probably by air."
