Chapter 101 - Unnamed

Chapter 101: Hardware has caught up, and software cannot fall behind

After coming out of the Chamber of Secrets, Aaron lay down in his bedroom.

He wasn't actually that resistant to sword training.

While a Magician fighting in close quarters might sound unconventional and like a'sideways approach,' it wasn't useless. Otherwise, a Magician who could only attack from a distance would be in a sorry state if an enemy got close.

But he really wasn't interested in other things, like the meteor hammer in the armory. As a twelve-year-old, he couldn't wield that thing.

There was also the bow and arrow. Although it was a means of long-range attack, its range was less than two hundred meters, and the time it would take an enemy to cross those two hundred meters was enough for him to cast dozens of spells.

However, this was a family rule, passed down for countless years, and he couldn't find a way to refuse even if he wanted to.

"So annoying!"

Aaron rubbed his forehead. Training was training, he supposed. Anyway, he was idle during the holidays, so he might as well pass the time.

But before that, he had other things to do.

"System, open my personal panel.

I've diligently signed in for a school year, it's time to reap the rewards."

"Alright."

Host: Aaron Gaius

magic Power: 1372 (Advanced Magician, barely able to hold his own, but still insignificant)

Talent: Once-in-a-century (Can be upgraded, magic Power increases by 2 points daily)

Items: moon drop (can remove any negative curse), Resurrection Potion (can resurrect any creature that has died within one hour), Invisibility Potion (1/2 remaining, please use sparingly)

magic Points: 3191

Aaron took a deep breath, his heart surging as he looked at the over three thousand magic Points.

Never mind, if he was going to cheat, he should do it properly.

"Add points. Increase my magic Power to three thousand. Today is a good day to be promoted to Magician."

The next moment, Aaron's magic Power began to surge rapidly.

He could clearly feel himself getting stronger quickly. This had little to do with physical strength, but his mental state was extremely satisfied, as if a never-full reservoir had suddenly been filled with water.

When he broke through that limit, his magic almost became uncontrollable, threatening to gush out, and it took him a while to barely suppress it.

This was the after-effect of getting strong too quickly. Wizards usually increased their power gradually and naturally, but he had increased his by nearly two times at once, so it was inevitable that he would take some time to adapt.

Aaron tried to clench his hand, but felt nothing.

But this was merely superficial. Feeling the magic Power contained within him, he felt that the power of his spellcasting was more than twice as strong as before, and he couldn't wait to test it out immediately.

The evaluation on his personal panel also changed from "barely able to hold his own" to "can hold his own," which made him even more excited.

By becoming a Magician, he finally shed the label of'still insignificant.' Most adult Wizards probably wouldn't be his match, and he finally had some ability to protect himself.

It was a bit expensive, consuming half of his magic Points, leaving only 1563 points, but it was all worth it.

Abey flew over in a daze, his eyes filled with wonder as he looked at his master, then he immediately pounced on Aaron, acting cute.

"I didn't forget you," Aaron said, chuckling as he took Abeyoff him. "Don't worry, as long as your master has food, you'll have a bowl."

Immediately after, Aaron invested another sum of magicPoints to help Abey complete his second evolution.

He didn't get such a large boost all at once, so there were no signs of indigestion. The feeling of being full all at once simply made the young dragon feel much more satisfied, and he happily flew around the bedroom.

Aaron also excitedly opened Abey's panel. At the Advanced Magician level, it was time for him to awaken a new talent.

Pet: Abey

Race: Dragon (Holy: Unawakened)

magic Power: 1000 (Increases by one point daily, boundless potential, the king among dragon cubs.)

Talent Abilities: Flight, Dragon Breath,???

Seeing the words 'Dragon Breath,' he smiled with satisfaction. Today, his wish had finally come true. A dragon that could breathe fire was a true dragon!

"Come down, transform for me to see.

Your size should have increased a bit, right!"

Abey landed on the bed, scratched his head, turned around to survey the space in the bedroom, then jumped to the center of the floor.

A white magic circle covered him, and after a flash of white light, a three-meter-tall, two-meter-long white Holy Dragon appeared before Aaron. This didn't even include the length of his outstretched wings.

Aaron gasped in surprise, extremely satisfied with this majestic appearance.

Abey's limbs became even more robust and powerful, and his claws and teeth became sharper. Just standing still, one could feel the immense power contained beneath his exterior. One swipe of his claw would probably leave a huge crater in the floor.

Especially the space on his back, it was definitely large enough for one person to sit.

In the future, he probably wouldn't need a magic carpet for travel. Abey's speed was much faster. However, riding a dragon still required discretion; it wouldn't be good to be discovered.

"Good, very good, quite good."

Abey, praised, raised his head proudly.

But before he could show off, his leg was slapped hard.

"You're already proud after only two evolutions? You dare to look down on me with your nose? You've gotten bold!"

Abey was a bit confused. After he reacted, he also felt wronged.

After hesitating for a moment, he began to control his body to shrink until he was a head shorter than Aaron.

"Is this right now!" Aaron gave Abey a human hug, then stroked his chin and pondered, "Didn't you awaken the ability to breathe fire? How about..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Aaron felt the temperature in the room rise. He then noticed a crimson flame appearing in Abey's throat.

"My goodness! I didn't tell you to try it here!"

Abey hastily closed his mouth, swallowing the dragon flame with great effort.

When he opened his mouth again, he exhaled a puff of black smoke mixed with sparks.

Aaron rolled his eyes. At this moment, he truly understood why the Magical World didn't allow private dragon-rearing. The danger was simply too great; only Hagrid could be so carefree as to not care.

"You should at least be careful. If you burn down the bedroom, we'll have to find somewhere else to sleep tonight.

Let's find a suitable place to test it tomorrow!

Also, from now on, you absolutely cannot breathe fire without my command, understand?"

Abey immediately nodded, his size also reverting to that of a cat. In the room, this size felt safer.

Lying back on the bed, Aaron remembered that he still had over a thousand magic Points, so he simply opened the system store, ready for a good spending spree.

Now that his strength had reached the Magician level, his hardware was upgraded, so his software naturally had to keep up.

magic Category: @Transfiguration (1000 magic Points, including Animagus); @Water-Repelling Charm (100 magicPoints, allows free breathing underwater, consumes ten magic Power per minute); @Levitation Charm (10 magicPoints); @Patronus Charm (200 magic Points); @Apparition(800 magic Points).

Material Category: @phoenix feather (30 magic Points); @dragon blood (20 magic Points); @Mandrake (5 magicPoints); @Bezoar (1 magic Point); @Rhinoceros Horn (3 magic Points).

Item Category: Blank; @magic Crystal (100 magic Points, possesses powerful magic, can power magic circles); Blank; Blank; @Collector's Edition quaffle (30 magic Points, priceless in the eyes of Quidditch fans)

Aaron quickly scanned the list, temporarily giving up on Transfiguration.

Although buying it would grant him instant mastery, even allowing him to become a Transfiguration master like Professor McGonagall.

But this was a subject, one taught by a dedicated person.

He now had some foundation and could completely try to teach himself. Unless there was a discount or better value for money, there was no need to spend on it.

So after a moment of thought, he turned his attention to Apparition.

He had coveted this instant movement skill for a long time, and he spent eight hundred magic Points to buy it.

After learning it, Aaron felt that he had gained a lot of knowledge in his mind. Apparition felt as if he had used it thousands of times, exceptionally skilled.

This magic had great potential for development; the distance of movement only depended on the level of magicPower.

As long as one's strength was sufficient, one could instantly travel between cities, countries, and even continents.

Apparition also came with great risks. The greater the distance, the greater the danger. One could accidentally splinch, and whether it was an arm or a leg missing depended on luck.

However, for him, this risk could almost be completely avoided. As long as he had enough magic Power, he could go anywhere.

If he ever reached the level of the God of Magic, he might be able to take a risk and go on an interstellar journey, but the destination would be unknown.

If he were to teleport into space, that would be tragic.

However, this magic was not without limitations. Besides related spells that could restrict or interfere with Apparition, blocking the casting, some places also had anti-Apparitioncharms placed, such as Hogwarts.

But even so, this magic was still quite convenient and powerful, and Aaron couldn't wait to start trying it out.

In fact, with his Magician-level magic Power reserves, moving from Gaius Castle to Diagon Alley was not difficult. However, experience was experience, and he himself had never tried it. To be safe, he set his sights on a bookshelf ten meters away.
