Chapter 11 – The Study Session
A week later, exam season started getting closer, and the library became even busier.
Sharon and Dylan sat at their usual table surrounded by textbooks and notes.
"I swear this chapter is impossible," Dylan said, rubbing his forehead.
"It's not impossible," Sharon replied. "You just skipped half the reading."
"I read the important parts."
"You mean the title?"
Dylan laughed.
"Okay, maybe."
Sharon leaned over and pointed at the page. "Look. This part explains everything."
He studied the page for a moment.
"Oh," he said. "That actually makes sense."
"See? I told you."
They continued studying for another hour.
Eventually Dylan leaned back in his chair.
"Can I ask you something?"
"What?" Sharon said.
"Were you always this serious about school?"
She thought for a moment.
"My parents always told me education is important," she said. "So I try my best."
"That's cool," Dylan said.
She looked at him. "What about you?"
He shrugged. "I like school… just not the boring parts."
Sharon smiled.
"I think you just don't like studying."
"That too."
They both started laughing.
For the first time, their study session felt less like work and more like spending time with a friend.
