Chapter 7 - Episode 7: The Life I Didn’t Choose

🌈✨Aarohi said yes.

Not because she was in love.

Not because she was ready.

But because she was tired.

Tired of holding on to something that no longer existed.

Tired of loving someone who chose to walk away.

"Are you sure?" her friend asked softly.

Aarohi smiled.

A practiced smile.

"I think… this is the right thing."

Right.

Such a strange word.

Because nothing about it felt right.

💍 A Few Days Later…

The engagement was small.

Simple.

Family. Close friends. Smiles.

Aarohi sat there, dressed beautifully—

everyone said so.

But inside—

she felt nothing.

"Congratulations," people said.

"Perfect match," they added.

Aarohi nodded.

Smiled.

Thanked them.

And somewhere deep inside—

a quiet voice whispered—

This isn't your forever.

💔 Meanwhile…

Meher found out.

Not directly.

Not gently.

Through a message.

A picture.

Aarohi… smiling beside someone else.

A ring on her finger.

Meher stared at it.

For a long time.

Rhea stood beside her, silent.

"Say something," she finally said.

Meher let out a quiet laugh.

Broken. Empty.

"What do you want me to say?"

"That this is killing you?"

Meher shook her head.

"No… this is what I wanted."

Rhea frowned.

"Then why do you look like you can't breathe?"

Because she couldn't.

Because seeing Aarohi move on…

felt like losing her all over again.

💔 That Night…

Rain.

Just like the beginning.

Meher stood alone on the terrace.

The same place where everything had once felt possible.

Her phone was in her hand.

Aarohi's name on the screen.

She hadn't deleted it.

Couldn't.

Her fingers hovered over the call button.

"Don't," Rhea's voice came from behind.

Meher didn't turn.

"I just want to hear her voice once."

"And then what?" Rhea asked softly.

"You'll let her go again?"

Silence.

Because that was the truth.

Meher closed her eyes.

Tears slipping down unnoticed.

"I thought I was strong enough," she whispered.

Rhea stepped closer.

"You are. You just loved too much."

Meher laughed bitterly.

"Yeah… and look where that got me."

💔 Back to Aarohi…

Aarohi sat in her room.

The engagement ring felt heavy on her finger.

She kept staring at it.

Like it didn't belong to her.

Her phone buzzed.

For a second—

her heart raced.

But it wasn't Meher.

It never was anymore.

Aarohi leaned back, closing her eyes.

And for the first time in months—

a tear slipped out.

Because even now…

even after everything…

If Meher came back and said—

"Don't do this. Choose me."

Aarohi knew—

she would.

Without hesitation.

And maybe…

that was her biggest weakness.

Or her deepest truth.
