Madeline remembered that she had an apartment in the city's center where she usually goes to rest and immediately answered "Yes, drop them off at my house".
"Ok.. Serena answered and hung up. Madeline instructed the driver to go to house at the outskirts. They arrived and Madeline asked the driver to go back as she would stay over here. The driver gave her a hesitant glance before swallowing his words and driving off.
The apartment was located at the city's center and was called "Starlight apartments". It was a new building developed about three years ago and was a high end residential district in city W.
The district had a large greenery and very good security. It was a gift from her father as it was a perfect place for an actress.
She walked into the neighborhood but didn't see many people along the way. The environment was very quiet and serene. She soon reached her floor, there was a total of 3 rooms on the 20th floor and she walked towards the first house on the left. She entered the password when was anoit to go in when the door next to hers opened.
A man wheeled himself out, his eyes sparkling "Maddy, you finally came home".
Madeline looked at this man strangely thinking "was she keeping a pretty boy" but this one didn't look like her type. She quickly remembered who he was. Ian Morris, Kaya's boyfriend.
For some reason he was infatuated with Madeline and she kept him close just to make Kaya jealous.
Ian seeing her quiet was at loss. "Are you tired, I made egg rice, should I get you some?" his voice sounding coquettish.
Madeline shivered from how his voice sounded but he continued as she looked at him "Are you worried about my leg, don't worry it's just a sprain, but sadly I can't work now because of it. Oh… sorry to bother you with all my problems I just missed you so much. He continued his voice still sounding like a disgusting whisper.
Madeline looked at his face, his face was round, and his features were not exactly attractive, his brows were too thick and his eyes were not too big and would disappear if he smiled widely. His nose was flat and his lips were thin.
She looked down at his legs wrapped in a plaster cast and him sitting on a wheelchair still rambling about how much he had missed her. She recalled that he was working with Ava to monitor her and the last time Ava planned an accident for Madeline, he gave her all the details.
Her gaze hardened and instead of engaging in conversation, she grabbed Ian's arm and hauled him straight up from the wheelchair, gave him a tight slap on his face and shoved him away with a kick sending him meters away from her in one swift perfect movement.
A horrified Ian screamed, he landed on the floor near the emergency exit and almost tumbled down the stairs if not for the railings he held on to.
He felt all his organs move mad it hurt terribly, the pain in his leg doubling as he screamed "Madeline what the f**k is wrong with you?".
Madeline grinned. Oh.. so his voice could get loud. "Stay away from me and don't anger me or else I will expose all your disgusting deeds to who you are working for. Watch if she would show you mercy". After saying that she entered her house but left the door open for Serena.
Ian's eyes widened, how did Madeline know he was working for Ava and how did she know what he had been to. Kaya was never available so sometimes he would brings girls over. If Ava found out about that he would be gone. He quickly picked himself up, his face scrunched up from the pain and hopped to his wheelchair.
Serena arrives to see Ian trying to get into his wheelchair. Ian gave her what he thought was a sweet smile. "Serena hi.. it's been a while" he said finally balancing on his chair, but Serena just walked past him and shut the door. He cursed under his breath and left.
As soon as she entered she saw Madeline slouched on the couch. She dropped what she was holding and stated. "Your pretty boy is outside". Her voice cold.
Madeline laughed, "pretty boy huh, I already took care of him, now where are the drugs".
Serena reached into her purse and brought out two bottles "what are these for?" Madeline reached out as she asked.
"One of the bottles contain anti-depressants and the other I don't know, it's prescribed by your mother's doctor. Apparently she has an illness that might be passed to you, that's used to suppress it" Serena replied.
Madeline thought deeply, didn't her mother commit suicide, so what illness did she have that could be transmitted through birth. She thought I'd something and quickly called Bryan.
"Hello, Madeline" the phone rand for a while and when she thought to hang up a cold voice answered.
"Bryan hello, have you heard of vexco23?" Madeleine asked quickly.
"Yes, it's a drug effective for curing migraines and overall a good body stimulant. Why?" Bryan replied.
"So it's not harmful, at all" she asked again.
"Generally it's not, but when taken with certain drugs it can cause some kind of damage". Bryan remembering her leg pain asked quickly "Do you consume this drug with something else?"
"Anti- depressants" she replied hesitantly. She didn't want Bryan to tell Zachary she was taking anti depressants.
Bryan went silent on the other end before speaking "When vexco23 is mixed with anti depressants or any stimulation drugs, it can lead to nerve damage".
"...What" Serena heard this and screamed." How is that possible, Madeline has been taking this for a while now. What do we do?"
