Once upon a time, there were two small, playful brothers called Hydrogen (H). They were very light and always moving around. Alongside them was a strong and calm friend called Oxygen (O).
They all existed separately as different chemical elements in nature.
One day, Hydrogen said,
"Let's come together and create something new!"
Oxygen replied,
"Okay, but we must bond strongly to form something stable."
Then, through a chemical reaction, they joined together.
