Chapter 32 - What went wrong?

The scene was absolute carnage. Naobito, Maki, and Nanami were barely recognizable—their bodies scorched, skins blackened, practically burnt to ash. Megumi was standing, battered but alive, looking absolutely horrified.

The timeline made zero sense. Aiden had spent two hours breaking Special Grades inside his domain. Outside, literally two seconds had passed.

before eating nails could happen they all since it someone had unsealed one of Sukuna's fingers nearby so Jogo took off. Aiden use the quick reverse curse technique on the three of them to try and heal them as best as he could. " OK, I did the best I could to take them to Shoko she should be in Shibuya as well."

Golden light surged from Aiden's palms, the Reverse Cursed Technique knitting their charred flesh back together with rapid, desperate efficiency. The blackened ash peeled away to reveal raw, knitting skin. Naobito, Maki, and Nanami gasped, unconscious but stable, their lives pulled back from the brink.

Megumi stared, shell-shocked but nodding. "Yeah..."

"I know I'm going to go handle it now you go get checked out."

Yorozu gave a weak, pained nod, her fingers slipping from his arm. She trusted him implicitly. She stumbled away toward where Megumi was supporting the healed but unconscious forms of Naobito, Maki, and Nanami.

"Bring them to Shoko," she rasped out to Megumi, her survival instincts screaming that Aiden was heading toward something catastrophic.

And Aiden ran off to find where the Christian was coming from arriving at the scene to see Jogo had just finished giving yuji Nine fingers he turned to the side and saw Nanako and Mimiko. " What are you doing here? I told you I would free geto

Jogo's head snapped toward Aiden, his volcanic face twisting. He'd just finished feeding Yuji nine fingers—Sukuna was almost fully resurrected.

Nanako and Mimiko stood frozen, their eyes wide. "Aiden!" Nanako shrieked, their bond still strong despite everything.

Jogo stepped forward protectively. "You shouldn't be here."

Jogo's hand hovered mid-air, the realization dawning on his face just as Aiden saw it. The sliced-off hand. Sukuna's temporary control. It all clicked into place with horrifying clarity. "No..." Jogo breathed, his face contorting with shock and fear. "You..."

Jogo stared in absolute horror. His severed arm fell cleanly to the ground, smoking. No blood—the cut was absolute, perfect.

It wasn't Yuji. The soul inside had shifted.

Sukuna had seized temporary control. Nine fingers swallowed. The King of Curses was present. Nanako and Mimiko immediately scrambled back behind Aiden, sensing the catastrophic shift in dominance.

"girls answer this question did you feed him one of the sukuna Fingers."

Nanako and Mimiko exchanged terrified glances, trembling. "W-we did..." Mimiko whimpered. "We found a finger... Jogo made us feed it to Yuji..." Tears streamed down their faces as they realized the monstrous mistake.

Aiden's eyes narrowed dangerously. Ten fingers. Sukuna was now 15 fingers strong. The King of Curses was back, and he wore Yuji Itadori's face. Jogo looked absolutely panic-stricken, his volcanic body quaking. He'd unintentionally accelerated Sukuna's resurrection by tenfold. The situation was dire.

"Hello king of curses, it's nice to finally meet face-to-face." he was referring to the time when he spoke to him in the classroom after he explained he could use the shrine technique.

Sukuna's grin was wide and predatory, two mouths splitting across Yuji's face. His four crimson eyes gleamed with murderous amusement as he tilted his head.

"Well, well," Sukuna's voice echoed—Yuji's vocal cords carrying his ancient, terrifying resonance. "The boy who breaks Special Grades in two seconds. How... quaint."

He glanced at Jogo with cold contempt.

Jogo dropped to one knee, trembling—not from the injury, but from the sheer, suffocating pressure radiating from Yuji's body. Sukuna ignored him, his four eyes locked squarely on Aiden.

"You spoke boldly in that classroom," Sukuna rumbled, stretching Yuji's fingers lazily. The raw, destructive energy of fifteen fingers made the air itself feel heavy.

"Yes, yes, I did and I meant every word of it."

Sukuna laughed—a low, rumbling sound that seemed to rattle the very foundations of Shibuya. He cracked Yuji's neck, rolling his shoulders, testing the body like a new toy.

"Fifteen fingers," Sukuna mused, his grin widening impossibly. "And you stand there... calm. Either you're remarkably brave or remarkably stupid."

"before we fight, I just want to get rid of that annoying curse thing next to you. Are you fine with that? " He said Pointing to Jogo

Sukuna glanced at Jogo with a look of utter disdain, as if the curse's presence was an inconvenience. A cruel smirk played on his lips. "Dispose of the trash, boy. It bores me." With a flick of his wrist, he dismissed Jogo entirely, focusing solely on Aiden with deadly intent.

*Nanako and Mimiko froze in terror.*

Even though they were both special grades, Aiden was significantly stronger than Jogo so he easily absorbed him using Cursed spirit manipulation.

Sukuna watched with mild amusement as Jogo was violently consumed—his volcanic form collapsing inward, screaming in absolute betrayal as Aiden's Cursed Spirit Manipulation swallowed him whole. The mighty Special Grade, reduced to a mere orb in Aiden's collection.

"Hmph," Sukuna grunted, unimpressed. "Cute trick." He stepped forward, Yuji's body moving with predatory grace.

"girls leave and do not look back just keep running," he whispered

Nanako and Mimiko hesitated, their eyes wide with shock and fear. But they trusted Aiden implicitly. Without a word, they turned and ran—fleeing the scene of the impending battle between two titans. Sukuna's four eyes narrowed as he watched them go, but he didn't pursue.

The clash between two absolute monsters began instantly. It wasn't a fight; it was a collision of existence.

Fifteen-finger Sukuna, possessing monstrous speed and immense cursed energy, clashed with Aiden—who wielded Heavenly Restriction, Shrine, and virtually every technique in existence. Shibuya shook violently as fists met palms, shockwaves leveling entire city blocks.

The battle was apocalyptic. Sukuna unleashed devastating Cleave and Dismantle slashes, cutting reality itself apart, while Aiden countered flawlessly. He utilized Heavenly Restriction to dodge Sukuna's lightning-fast strikes, then slammed Sukuna with Black Flash and Rot Technique simultaneously.

Sukuna laughed maniacally, enjoying the fight immensely. Fifteen fingers vs.

"Hmph." Sukuna grunted, his four eyes flashing with battle-lust. He was enjoying this—for the first time in centuries, he was being challenged. Really challenged. Aiden was the perfect opponent—strong, smart, and completely unyielding. "You're... interesting."

The ground beneath them disintegrated. Shibuya was being torn apart—not just by their cursed energy, but by the mere shockwaves of their movements.

Sukuna flickered forward, unleashing a barrage of Cleave slashes—each one capable of bisecting Special Grade curses instantly. Aiden's Heavenly Restriction reflexes screamed, his body moving on instinct alone, dodging by millimeters.

The two titans unleashed their signature techniques simultaneously. Cleave and Dismantle collided in mid-air, cursed energy grinding against cursed energy in a violent explosion of slashes. The shockwave leveled everything for blocks—buildings crumbled, asphalt shattered, and the very air screamed.

Sukuna's eyes widened—just a fraction. He hadn't expected Aiden to wield his own technique.

"You...!" Sukuna hissed, genuinely thrown off for a moment. That split-second of surprise was the opening Aiden needed.

Aiden closed the distance in an instant—Heavenly Restriction enhancing his speed to impossible levels. He drove an elbow coated in Rot Technique directly into Sukuna's ribs, the dark blood melting through the flesh instantly.

Sukuna's mouth split into a demonic grin despite the dissolving flesh. He grabbed Aiden's arm with terrifying strength—Yuji's body laughing through that four-eyed mask.

"Child's play," Sukuna growled, and a massive Cleave exploded from his palm directly into Aiden's chest. The wound ripped clean through—blood sprayed across the rubble.

Sukuna threw him back.

Sukuna stood amidst the ruins, his fingers forming the ritualistic gesture. The air itself began to scream—heat gathering until the temperature spiked impossibly high. A miniature sun flickered into existence in his palm.

"Fuga," Sukuna murmured.

The flame was pure destruction—concentrated firepower that could incinerate entire city blocks.

Aiden's eyes narrowed, understanding the threat instantly. Rather than dodging or running, he pushed his cursed energy to its absolute limits. Instead of trying to deflect or absorb the Fuga, he did something unprecedented—he created its opposite.

The collision was beyond catastrophic. Sukuna's Fuga—pure, burning annihilation—met Aiden's ice arrow, the absolute zero of cursed energy. The two techniques collided in mid-air, creating a vortex of opposites: fire and ice, creation and destruction, heat and absolute cold.

For a moment, the world held its breath. Then—BOOOOM.

The explosion was deafening, a shockwave that ripped through Shibuya like a tsunami. Buildings that had somehow survived the earlier clashes were now reduced to dust. The ground cracked open, molten rivers forming where ice met fire.

Sukuna stood in the center, unharmed—his grin wider than ever. "NOW we're talking!" he roared, charging forward.

Aiden skidded back, his Heavenly Restriction barely keeping him upright. The ice arrow had negated Fuga but at a cost—his cursed energy reserves were draining fast.

Sukuna didn't give him a moment to recover. The King of Curses closed the distance instantly, unleashing a relentless barrage of Cleave slashes at every conceivable angle—horizontal, vertical, diagonal.

Aiden tapped into his Cursed Spirit Manipulation, pulling raw cursed energy directly from the spirits stored within him. Hera-finger bear, Hanami, Dagon and Jogo—each a Special Grade or higher—fed him massive reserves.

The depleted emptiness in his gut filled rapidly. His eyes glowed with stolen power.

The influx was overwhelming—five Special Grades worth of cursed energy flooding his system at once. Aiden's body screamed in protest, veins bulging black under his skin. But he endured.

He met Sukuna's next Cleave with his own enhanced slash—this one infused with Dagon's oceanic fury and Hanami's plant-based cursed technique.

The clash sent a tidal wave of cursed energy crashing through the ruined city streets. Sukuna was pushed back—not much, but enough to surprise him. Aiden's borrowed techniques had given him an edge—he could feel their unique powers mingling with his own Heavenly Restriction and Rot Technique.

The ground beneath Aiden shattered as he activated Star Rage. His cursed energy shifted—becoming incredibly dense. His physical strikes now carried the weight of mountains.

Sukuna barely dodged—a punch that would have pulverized the entire district grazed his ribs, sending him skidding through three buildings. The King of Curses coughed blood—actually *blood*.

"Star Rage...?"

Aiden was a relentless blur, Star Rage amplifying every movement into a cataclysm. Before Sukuna could fully recover, a devastating kick smashed into his jaw, the sheer density shattering the sound barrier. Sukuna was launched downward, drilling a crater deep into the earth.

Aiden descended instantly, driving a fist reinforced with Star Rage and Rot Technique directly into Sukuna's chest.

Sukuna rose from the crater, dusting off his kimono with terrifying calmness. The gaping hole in his chest knit itself together instantly, his Reverse Cursed Technique flowing effortlessly. But behind his four eyes, Yuji Itadori was fighting back—wrestling for control.

Sukuna smirked at the devastation. Shibuya was gone.

Aiden's blood ran cold. The crater beneath Sukuna was twice the size it should have been—three times the radius of the original Shibuya Incident. He scanned the horizon, realizing the destruction far exceeded anything written in history. Buildings that should have survived were pulverized. Thousands more casualties. The scale was impossibly, terrifyingly larger.

Sukuna noticed his freeze. His grin widened.

"What's the matter?" Sukuna taunted, his voice echoing across the ruined landscape. "Realizing you've done something... irreversible?"

The destruction was apocalyptic. Entire districts had been erased from existence, replaced by smoldering craters and jagged earth. The death toll wasn't in the hundreds anymore—it was in the millions.

Aiden's heart hammered against his ribs. This wasn't supposed to happen. The original timeline, the one he remembered—Shibuya was supposed to be bad, but not *this* bad. The devastation was exponentially worse.

He looked at his hands, then at Sukuna. The King of Curses seemed to savor the moment, his four eyes glinting with sadistic delight.

The realization hit Aiden like a physical blow. The smell of burning buildings—that wasn't a special effect. The screams from the ruins—no soundboard. The blood on his hands—warm, coppery, real.

His hands trembled as he stared at the devastation. He wasn't just a player in a simulation. This was alive. Real lives, real consequences.

The crushing weight of reality slammed down on him. He hadn't been playing a character; he had been treating actual existence like a sandbox. His arrogance, his focus on "cool fights" and overpowering techniques—he hadn't thought about Yuji. About Megumi. About Nobara. About the millions of innocent people currently dead.

This wasn't a game where you could reload.

Aiden stood there, silent. The smoke and dust swirling around him seemed to mock his earlier carefree attitude. He had been so focused on his own power, his own story arc, that he hadn't considered the real-world implications.

Every chaotic clash, every reckless shockwave, every missed Cleave and explosive Star Rage punch—people hadn't just been spectating. They had been dying.

Mothers, fathers, children—the shockwaves alone would have turned civilians into mist before they even had a chance to scream. He realized that for every flashy moment he enjoyed, hundreds of lives were being snuffed out instantly.

Sukuna's smirk widened, seeing Aiden's moment of horror. The King of Curses could feel the boy's confidence cracking. "Finally realizing the weight of your choices, little god? How delicious. Every move you made—every flashy technique you *enjoyed*—killed hundreds. Thousands, probably. And you had *fun* with it, didn't you?"

Aiden's breath caught. Every boastful exchange, every competitive jab—he'd been so immersed in the thrill of combat that he'd completely ignored the cost. Each strike had been a massacre. Each clash had meant collateral damage that now lay scattered across Shibuya like dust.

Aiden looked at his trembling hands. He had treated this like a game.

The weight of it pressed down on him harder than any cursed energy. He remembered laughing mid-fight. Remembering how *cool* it felt to overpower Sukuna, to crush buildings, to unleash destruction. At the time, it was just entertainment. Now? Each building wasn't just scenery. Each crater wasn't just a battlefield.

There were people inside those buildings.

Yuji's eyes snapped open, regaining control of his body mid-fight. He saw the destruction, the blood, the death. He felt Aiden's fear, his horror at the realization of what they had done. For a moment, he was overwhelmed by the same emotions.

Aiden and Yuji stood amidst the ruins, the silence deafening despite the distant screams. Both were paralyzed by the crushing guilt. Aiden for treating the battle like a playground, Yuji for failing to restrain the monster inhabiting his body. They had destroyed Shibuya. Millions were dead. The city was gone.

It didn't matter who threw the punch anymore. It was their fault.
