On the vast ocean, the wind was calm, and there were no clouds in sight. The sun, like a blazing inferno, unleashed its fervent heat, leaving people parched and longing for a cool spot. On the Dream Chaser, Nami was doing exactly that, lounging on a beach chair under a sun umbrella. However, her eyes were fixed on Satori, who was ardently cultivating.

"I say, Satori, don't you really feel hot?" Nami asked. On the deck, scorching under the sun, Satori wore a 60 kg weighted turtle shell while continuously wiping the deck and rails with a rag. To an outsider, he looked like an exploited child laborer, but to Satori, this was a vital part of his training. Drenched in sweat, he replied with a grin, "It's fine, Nami. This is how I cultivate".

Following the teachings of Master Roshi, Satori believed that mundane chores could be transformed into cultivation. Cleaning required the simultaneous use of his entire body, perfectly aligning with the Kame Sennin School's training methods. Nami, unable to understand how chores counted as training, simply warned him not to get heatstroke.

A Brief Respite

Sanji emerged from the cabin, elegantly twirling over to Nami to serve her a refreshing orange-mint drink. "Nami-san! This is to help you embrace coolness on this scorching day!" he proclaimed with devout affection. Nami eagerly took a sip, instantly feeling her body cool.

Sanji then brought a drink to Satori to help him replenish lost salts. Satori gulped it down and felt his energy return immediately. "Thank you, Sanji!" he chirped before moving on to his next exercise: hanging upside down from the railing by his tail to practice inverted sit-ups.

Watching Satori, Sanji lit a cigarette and reflected on the boy's terrifying power. He recalled how a single strike from Satori's staff had split a massive building in half during the battle with Arlong. He realized the immense gap in strength between himself and the ten-year-old Saiyan. He also recalled the broken Arlong being carried away by the Marines, marvelling that the Fishman had even survived such a devastating blow.

The Town of Beginnings and Ends

After several days of sailing, the crew finally reached a legendary gateway to the Grand Line: Loguetown. Known as the birthplace and execution site of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger, it was famously called the "Town of Beginnings and Ends".

"Let's go! We need to procure plenty of supplies before heading to the Grand Line," Nami declared as they docked at the harbor.

Meanwhile, at a Marine base in a corner of the town, Tashigi pushed open the door to an office filled with thick smoke. She coughed and threw open a window, reprimanding her superior. "Captain Smoker, I've told you that smoking is bad for your health!".

Smoker, bare-chested and sitting on a sofa with a cigar clamped between his lips, shrugged. "I apologize for choking you, but telling me to quit is impossible".

Tashigi got straight to the point. "Captain Smoker, the target you asked me to keep an eye on has appeared. They just arrived in Loguetown". Smoker's eyes flashed with intensity as he stood up and grabbed his jacket. "They've arrived, have they? Come with me, Tashigi".
