Chapter 17 - Episode 17: “The Escape That Turned Into Destiny”

The night air outside the mansion felt different.

No longer war.

No longer chaos.

Only silence… and distance growing between the past and what was coming next.

Rudra Rathore pulled Aanya into a black SUV parked behind the hidden exit.

The door shut with a heavy sound.

Inside—complete silence.

Only their breathing.

Only the storm outside.

Aanya stared at him.

"You really left everything behind…"

Rudra didn't look at her immediately.

His eyes were fixed on the rearview mirror.

Watching the mansion fade into darkness.

Then he said quietly,

"I didn't leave everything."

A pause.

"I brought the only thing that matters."

Aanya's heart tightened.

She looked away quickly.

Confused by what she was feeling.

The car moved fast through empty roads.

Rain hitting the windshield like broken thoughts.

Aanya finally whispered,

"What happens now?"

Rudra's grip tightened on the steering wheel.

Then—

"We disappear for a while."

Aanya frowned.

"Disappear?"

Rudra nodded slightly.

"Riya will not stop easily."

A pause.

"And I need time to end this… properly."

Silence.

Aanya turned toward him slowly.

"You mean… war?"

Rudra shook his head.

"No."

A pause.

"Control."

Aanya didn't understand.

The car entered a long tunnel.

Darkness swallowed everything outside.

Only their reflections remained in the glass.

Aanya looked at him.

And in the reflection… he looked calmer than ever.

But also more dangerous.

Because now… he was clear.

No confusion.

No hesitation.

Only purpose.

Aanya whispered,

"You said I'm your weakness…"

Rudra didn't look at her.

"But also my reason," he replied.

Silence hit instantly.

Aanya looked down.

Her voice softer now.

"I never asked to become that."

Rudra finally turned slightly toward her.

His eyes softened.

"I know."

A pause.

"But you did anyway."

The car exited the tunnel.

Moonlight hit the road.

Everything felt quieter.

Aanya spoke again,

"If Riya finds us…"

Rudra interrupted instantly.

"She won't."

A pause.

"Not easily."

Aanya frowned.

"You're underestimating her."

Rudra shook his head.

"I'm not."

A pause.

"I'm ending her control."

Silence.

The car slowed as they reached a secluded estate on the outskirts.

Hidden.

Quiet.

Safe.

Rudra parked and turned off the engine.

For a moment… neither moved.

Then he looked at Aanya.

Really looked.

No chaos.

No war.

Just her.

"You're safe now," he said softly.

Aanya nodded slowly.

But her voice shook.

"This doesn't feel like safety…"

Rudra stepped closer inside the car.

Just slightly.

His voice lowered.

"Because you're not used to it."

Silence.

Aanya finally whispered,

"Why did you choose me?"

That question hung in the air.

Heavy.

Unavoidable.

Rudra didn't answer immediately.

For once… even he needed time.

Then he said quietly,

"Because everyone in my world wanted power."

A pause.

"You were the only one who didn't ask for anything from me."

Aanya's eyes filled slightly.

Rudra continued,

"And now I don't know how to live without that."

Silence broke everything again.

Outside the car… the world was still dangerous.

But inside…

something irreversible had already begun.

A new life.

Or a new war disguised as love.
