As they crashed to the ground together, Rim Young subconsciously pulled Wi Hajoon's head into his arms, shielding it before it could strike the broken pavement. His own shoulder and back absorbed most of the impact, pain shooting through his body, but he didn't loosen his hold for even a second. He couldn't let Wi Hajoon lose consciousness.
If an Esper fell unconscious while in a state of rampage without receiving proper guiding, there was a frightening possibility that they would never open their eyes again. Their mind would remain trapped beneath the overwhelming tide of polluted energy, unable to return no matter how much time passed. Rim Young refused to let that happen.
