Rim Young didn't even spare it a glance. He ignored the floating window entirely and continued running. Without slowing down, he crossed the boundary into the final layer of the restricted zone. The instant his foot landed across the red marked threshold, a car came hurtling toward him from behind.
His instincts reacted before his mind could. Rim Young immediately threw himself into a crouch, covering the back of his head with both arms. The vehicle roared over him by mere inches. It sailed through the air before smashing headfirst into the building directly in front of him. A deafening explosion erupted through the street.
The impact tore through the concrete structure, sending chunks of rubble, twisted steel, shattered glass, and clouds of dust raining down as the entire building began to crumble before his eyes.
